Trying to do some remote tuning today with Popsracing and we kept having issues with quarterhorse. It would simply disconnect itself from BE for no apparent reason and then BE would lock up. My moue would freeze up and I couldn't even close BE without rebooting the computer. I took the QH out and could not see any visible issues with it. On another reboot I connected the QH outside of the ECU and was able to load a calibration. I then tried to read the calibration and saved it. When I reloaded the saved calibration it was garbage.

Earlier in the day we were doing okay. Adam was adjusting the MAF curve just fine. It was datalogging on the bench and then when I tried to datalog in the car it started losing the QH signal and got worse from there. I can get it to take a tune but as soon as you try to datalog it freezes up and can't find the QH. If I restart BEand plug the QH in it sees it for a little while and then loses the signal again for no apparent reason.

Do I have a bad QH? It's brand new less than a month old.

It sounds like a driver/latency issue. When BE locks up like that for me, it usually comes immediately back to life as soon as I unplug the QH. Then I plug it back in and all works fine again. Next time it does this, confirm that simply unplugging the QH fixes the lockup. If it does, then you definitely have a driver and/or latency setting issue.

I tried unplugging and plugging it back in and made no difference.
