Im new here and to tuning. I have been reading constantly here, even have my new tune set up just was wanting to double check it with a write I looked at once but forgot to save it to favorites. I believe it was a write up on starting a tune for boost applications GUFX (I think) and wanting to go through that check list again. Since i now have all the software to do so.
So far i have ~inj set to 42/42 high/low ~transfered my MAF i did 55mm ( i baught my C&L used so how do i tell between the 55mm sample tube and the 70mm sample tube w/ out a micrometer) Its a 76mm MAF with the green line on the sample tube ~turned off levels for EGR, thermactor, A/C ~base timing set to 26 above 70% load
Now for the questions 1. Ive also read with some boost applications having to scale the MAF for boost, is this only if you max out the MAF?? 2.Im also currently at 7220 ft elevation so is there anything specific i should do to play with sea level. 3.When decreasing timing 1* per lb of boost does this also change the base timing?? 4.Should i start to play with pw and other more indepth perameters at this point?
the car with no tuning runs decent (pump gas, fp set to 39#) but looking to fine tune and get all the power i can out of her safely. Its pig rich at idle so im starting there but just wanted to get the basics down before i give it a try and plug in the QH.
Thanks
