When running my datalogs through EA it is recommending low slopes that are lower than my high slopes. What should I do to fix?

That's usually an indication that your Injector Offset curve isn't right for your injectors. It could also just be a fluke in calculation due to lack of info in the datalog for EA to make a better estimate of values. In nearly every scenario where I have seen a log where EA was calculating low slope less than high, the slopes could be set equal with little issue. Setup EA to calculate high=low and see what it comes up with then. If the difference is excessive, then definitely look at upping your Injector Offset values.

Thanks Chris,

I used the settings by EA to set my slopes equal, and now it seems alot closer. I should be able to adjust the rest via the MAF. I attached a copy of my dl, so if you see something that is out of wack, let me know.

Thanks

I don't know what's up with that datalog, but don't base datalog values off it it. There's not nearly enough reliable data in the log. Values are all over the place. Unless it just simply isn't possible, the best datalogs to run through EA are ones that contain the following:
  • Idling
  • Cruising at low, mid, and high RPMs (1000-4000 RPMs)
  • Hard acceleration at low, mid and high RPMs but not WOTs
  • If safe to do so, a few WOTs that range from 1500-4500+ RPMs

This log just looked like a few revs with no real engine load which gives a Slope window that looks like:

The only useful part of the log is a tiny little piece at the bottom of the screen that isn't near enough to be of much use. Here's the best I could make of that log and the subsequent values, but I wouldn't trust these values for anything:

Here's a log from Tom2769 that is much more typical of what "small" injector slope datalogs should look like:

That's a much better log to do slope analysis with. And yours is an interesting log...one of the 1st I've seen where the high and low slopes actually end up best when equal. With my version of EA, I'm calculating you need a high/low slope of 31.5lb/hr.

What size are your injectors supposed to be?

The slopes being the same works out best for me. Thanks for the help! I have a figure of 29.84. We shall see!
