I'm doing head gasket swap and couple thing came in to mind. Should I keep EGR in function, how much removing affects to mpg ? It would be easier put things back if i ditch it, and lots of pipes and stuff cleaner under hood. Car is daily driver. I'll do some porting now that I have heads removed.
And another thing, car has barometric sensor functional, I don't need it because my home country is so flat, can it be used as boost sensor for data logging? Had 1990 SC, it didn't have EGR.

i removed egr on mine, i hated getting my intercooler piping dirty and its much easier to mount/remove the blower without it, i did loose some fuel economy, i can't tell you how much exactly but it was enough to notice, i would probably guess 2-3 mpgs

when porting the heads DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PORTS!!! watch out for the center ports, there is ALOT you can take out (about .060") to make her happier but don't get greedy, be sure you do a little eye wash on the combustion chambers

the bap input is supposed to be some kind of frequency input, it may possibly be able to function as you want, you do have sailorbobs czaw0 correct? he would be the person to ask

bap is in the def, and shows in my dashboard. I assume I must disable barometric correction, so it won't affect fueling.

set bap to inferred instead of sensor, and set the clip limits close 14.5 - 14.7, thats what i do, i also set the min ect for inferred bap to max just for the hell of it
