Been thinking about getting an aluminum car jack. Any recommendations? Anything to stay away from? Like something with low profile as possible, I have a sears branded iron and it weighs a ton and doesn't fit under the car without first using my smaller jack.

Thanks,
Jeff

I haven't found an aluminum jack that is worth the money (or maybe I'm just too frugal). I have this jack:

It was branded "Central Pneumatic" when I bought it, but it appears to be the same jack. It gets under my GT, which is lowered 1", pretty well. It is steel, but its easy enough to carry around.

stay away from the jegs ones. they're junk. I've had 2 now, sent one back for repair/replace, and the replacement failed after 6 months. used for race car.
