I still haven't been able to figure this part out. I want to know how to do this properly. I hooked up my wideband but what the data log says and what the display on the wideband says it's a different number. How do you adjust the AFR across the board?

Sorry guys for all the questions. The car is running right now thanks to Darren's help. I want to learn the process.

My main question would be how do I know if the information from my wideband is accurate when it's data logging.

If this is true then the EEC Analyzer will calculate skewed data. Make sure to get the logged and displayed AFR on the WB to match before doing the calculations.

I believe there is a def file for each WB configuration. You may have to modify it to what you WB manufacture states it should be. I also remember reading somewhere that there is two different AFR curves for the AEM WB. One is for the unit that has the display and the other is for the non display unit.

I will have to wait and ask Darren when he get's back from his business trip from Europe. He has the Plx M-300 as well and i'm pretty sure i'm just doing something wrong where I'm screwing something up that's simple.

indeed, I am in dixon California. Fresno is a bit of a drive  2-3 hours. Let me know.

I know the WB uses the EGR input, but make sure you have EGR disconnect and nothing else is on the wire but the WB. Anything else on the line may cause the voltage to go down, which could cause bad readings.

I followed the wideband install instructions to the T let me know when you have time. I don't mind driving if you don't mind taking a look and helping me out.

Let me know if you are able to do so. and if so when would be a good time for that.

Before any tuning with the WB can begin, the WB display and logged values need to match.

Do the voltages match, meaning if you convert the display back to a voltage, does it match the WB output to the EGR signal?

Do you have the AFR curve from the manufacture? If so note what the AFR is on the WB at an idle, then cross reference it to the manufacture voltage chart, then compare that to what cal con is logging. If they do not match then the transfer that CalCon has needs to be modified.

It doesn't match is there a site that shows how to correct for it.

If you have the transfer curve then I would open the *.DBF file in the data directory corresponding to your WB Manufacture in excel and modify the numbers. Then save it in the existing format and try it out.

I have an LM-1 WB and when I modified the file I found that I had to change the name and then select the new file name in CalCon to get it to use the modified numbers. If I changed the file and left the name the same it would use the old values. This is with v1.0A7. Has anyone else seen this?
