My internet connection failed while downloading a printer driver from Epson and now the laptop won't boot up. A technician has managed to get a DOS prompt but still cant launch BE to get the transfer code before the windows xp (and anything else that needs to be fixed) is reloaded.

I want to get everything (files, setups etc) I need to reinstate/reinstall a working BE from the hard drive just in case it needs to be re-formatted (or any other repair that corrupts the BE software) to get the laptop working again.

How do I get the transfer code? I can read the laptop hard drive using it as a slave drive on my desktop, and can see a file called Binary Editor.LIC and another .LIC file for a CRY strategy I recently purchased. Do I just copy and paste these into a new download of BE once the laptop is repaired?

Or is there a command line I can run from DOS prompt to generate the transfer codes?

Any help much appreciated.
