The conventional wisdom is that the rod ratios of the 347 (or larger) strokers cause piston skirt and cylinder bore scuffing, so the 347s don't last as long as a shorter stroke engine. Also, the 347s tend to have the piston pin hole poking through the oil ring lands, so they don't seal as well either.

The 351W has more room for stroking, but it is taller and weighs a bunch more.
