Hi all, I am new to the list, but not new to automobile performance. My name is Ricardo and I live in Brazil, and over here V8 cars are rare and pricey. I love everything about muscle cars, but I couldn't afford to have one. I then bought a 1994 Volkswagen Gol GTi. Funny enough, over here VW Gol is the most commonly prepared car for drag racing. This is because the Gol is an entire Brazilian project that VW held and since it was produced here (no v8 car was produced in Brazil ever), the parts are very cheap (I had my engine rebuilt with brand new internals which cost me 300 usd including labor).

The car is a lightweight hatch. I have the top of the line version, which is also the heaviest because it has electric windows and power steering. Even being the heaviest Gol in production, it has only 2260 lbs. Very light. The car comes with a 2.0 Engine. This is the biggest available in the Gol. Other engines included a 1.0, 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines. I chose the biggest one of course!

Anyway, getting to the point on the topic. The car had from factory a Bosch EZK JeTronic injection module. I was cruising around and the damned thing failed on me. This module was garbage anyway, so I decided to adapt a Ford EEC IV in its place, which was a better yet cheap alternative available in a few other cars here. It was sort of a pain in the ass to adapt everything, the sensors and all, but now it's working. So now I have a VW Gol with EEC IV module. 8)

I got on the internet and started looking info about this module and sure enough I find the TwEECer. I am now aspiring this tool to tune my car. It seems to be awesome! I can't wait to raise funds to buy it. It sucks that its so expensive for me to buy it, because our money is worth nothing compared to dollars, but I think it's a good investment.

BTW, my Gol ran 14.7 @ 90mph. Not too impressive it seems, but considering it has only about 120whp and a SOHC 8valve archaic motor (doesnt even have a crossflow head). I think it's good. Hoping to improve that time soon as I get my tweecer!
