Guys,
I’m about to finish up my project and have come up a few addresses short. Can anyone provide hex address for EVAP, thermactor and PATS. Using BE and/or Tunerpro but can not locate address of these items and none of the definition files seem to have them ether. The Cobra took a hard hit on right front so the EVAP and therm are toast.
Thanks

For THRMHP try 0x8AB4D

AFAIK there is not a switch to disable the purge but you may be able to achieve the same result by altering the PG_DC_D_MIN parameter at 0x89CE8.

Sailerbob, thanks for the info, but with CDAN4 being 2 bank strategy, doesn’t bank 2 end at 0x02FFFF? Excuse my ignorance, but I haven’t fooled with hex in over 20 years, yes we had computers back then but they all had green screens. I have searched for weeks and even tired disassembling LLX3, but can figure out the address for these scalers/flags.

The addresses I have given are as you would see them in a disassembly, the 0x8xxxx signifies that the address is in bank8. To change this into an address for your 128k bin just alter it to 0x1xxxx :)

Apparently, PATS can be problematic for CDAN4 EECs...
I think this will take care of PATS:

Search for differences

1. C:\tmp\llx4-dis.bin: 114,688 bytes
2. C:\tmp\llx4-stock.bin: 114,688 bytes
Offsets: hexadec.

5B2C: 00 01
6597: 00 01

2 difference(s) found.

I'm going to get a guinea to test...

Do keep in mind the 2 bank processors also can get "stuck" and require disconnecting the battery to recover.

I'm having some troubles like in this thread was there an outcome for the cdan4 strategy? I've searched this site and this is the most clostly related issue. I've finished the build and now it's time for the start and PATS seems to be holding me up. I have put a pushrod 302 with EDIS into a 98 V6 car. I have a 4.6 auto ecm and believe this to work, through research and others experiences. Also a gt cluster was installed, it somehow is in the PATS equation. Any the PATS is not disabling, any sugestions. Can quarterhorse and binary editor disable PATS or do I need something else.

Thanks
Mika

Any chip/hand held can be programmed to disable PATS. There are cheaper alternatives than a quarterhorse - a moates chip is $60.

Thank You for the quick reply and answer I already have the quarterhorse however I'm most interested in the CDAN4 file what is the problem and what needs to be done.
Thanks

Mika

I use Tweecer and Caledit with no problem on my 96 Cobra, but that's no gonna help you much... You best bet is to get with Adam (Popsracing), they have detailed def files for BE.
