Re: Running 97 Explorer v8 on CDAN4 ECU

The adapter collar for the 3.8 sync. Is that something you made or do you have someone else machine them or are they already available? Just curious, I am an industrial machinist.

Re: Running 97 Explorer v8 on CDAN4 ECU

Cool thanks for chimming in, I like seeing different ideas and solutions to issues. So is the 3.8l cam sync physically longer than the 5.0? That adapter collar takes up a good bit of space, I am assuming that is a stock 3.8l cam sync. I thought you could just swap the larger 3.8l shaft into the 5.0 ...

Re: Running 97 Explorer v8 on CDAN4 ECU

You'll also need to find a cam sync from a late Ford Explorer with a 5.0, specifically for the housing. Swapping the Windstar 3.8 shaft assembly into the 5.0 cam sync housing will result in a 351W/351C/400M/429/460 compatible cam sync. How will the cam sync housing from a 5.0 explorer work in a 351...

Re: PMAS HPX slot sensor, fakes?

Know where i can find some more of the circuit board clear silicone gel? Its hard to see exactly every spot that was poked on with the burnt gel spots so i really want to pull the gel out to get a better look at every component. But i still plan on using the sensor so need some gel to replace it with.

PMAS HPX slot sensor, fakes?

Are the hpx slot sensors modified stock 05+ slot sensors? Or are they an all new unit? Reason i ask is because i purchased supposedly a new hpx sensor and it looks like it has been opened up and then resealed and the pmas/hpx logo on top is a sticker. And it also did not come with the software disc ...

I was going to drill and tap the one on the motor in the car but then i decided to mod an extra pan i have and weld on the AN fitting. While the motor is out swapping oil pans i was going to upgrade the valve springs and probably bolt on a set of 1.7 rockers, might as well do all that while i have t...

Re: Univer meter, tell me what i have here, pics inside

Thanks for the replies and injector/maf setup info. On a side note, do you think i would be better off just welding a maf sensor mount on the straight run of pipe after the intercooler and using either a stock sensor or the newer slot style sensor and making a custom maf transfer? The piping is 3 in...

I also have a set of siemen deka 60lb injectors for to use with this meter. Is there anywhere i can find the transfer flow data on this meter? Will be using an A9P computer and more than likely switch over to a moates quarter horse as well.

Hi guys. Anyone know about the DZ1 computer? I think it is a speed density 5.0 mustang computer but I am not sure if its for a 5 speed or an auto. I am currently working on a '89 fox 4 cyl to 5.0 swap and was going to use this computer for initial start up. The 5.0 and AOD came from a '90 Mark Vii b...
