Re: Injector scalars
So I’ve been busy as heck and finally got back around to tuning. I use a Tweecer and this is the format I found but don’t understand Multiply injector slopes by 3600. The breakpoint is 2.219 So I was just about to change the breakpoint and slopes on the Tweecer, (stock tip1 breakpoint is 0.000149) ...

Re: Wanted: CBAZA tune for EFI 460
You can tune idle, and low load part throttle fuel based on the narrow band O2s. I've heard that a well-tuned engine will not smell rich even without cats, so I think my engine is over-fueling . This is not true. Even a well tuned engine has enough hydrocarbons in the exhaust to smell rich without ...

Re: Why is my timing static at a neutral idle?
Being stuck in dashpot mode can cause static spark at idle. Set TRLOAD to 0 and see if that fixes the issue.

No, both IAC have battery voltage applied when the key is on and the EEC provides a ground to duty cycle the valve to adjust for proper airflow. Have you done any tuning?

Decay and decrement are the same thing. A lower value will slow down the return to idle.

Re: BBK Fuel Pressure Regulator Issue
Fuel pressure regulator should not let fuel pressure immediately drop to zero when the fuel pump stops running. My Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator does not bleed down. The only real issue it will cause is a long crank time. If it bothers you, change it. If you are using the factory fuel rails and...

Re: Does no clutch switch effect tune
I set TRLOAD to 0 and didn't notice any difference other than the car consistently going into rpm control idle instead of staying in dashpot mode. I will replace the clutch switch but I don't know if I will bother changing TRLOAD back.

Does no clutch switch effect tune
My clutch switch has been a little erratic and my car is staying in dashpot mode at idle. If I force neutral by setting TRLOAD to no clutch or gear switch will it affect anything else or will I even notice? (A9L/T5) Thanks

Some information out of 2024 Ranger shop manual: Multiplexing is a method of sending 2 or more signals simultaneously over a single circuit. Multiplexing allows 2 or more electronic modules (nodes) to communicate over a twisted wire pair [data (+) and data (-)] network. The information or messages t...

Re: How do EECs detect cylinder misfires?
One possibility I can come up with is it see's rotational velocity changes while monitoring the crankshaft position and it can see a rhythmic reduction in velocity on the misfiring cylinder's power stroke. This is correct. The EEC watches the speed of crankshaft and can determine a misfire on a cyl...

Re: Pulse width too short to fire injector, close throttle decel
I have a very similar issue. Going super lean on decel and sometimes stalling. Mine seems to be reversion in the intake track. Switching to a slot style maf helped a lot. You could try putting screens before and after your maf.

Re: Is there a way to find out what exactly is contained in a factory calibration update from ford?
To my understanding, if the sensor is not present or there is shorting along the wires in the plug, what happens then? There is a 5v reference and there is a signal return I think. Are you able to screenshot or provide what it says about the knock sensor? because id like to read it if possible but ...

The dealer has no idea what is in the calibration other than it fixes the problem stated in the technical service bulletin if there is one.

Here is the definition of HCAMFG = Flag indicating the completion of Hi-Cam. HCAMFG = 0 indicates no desired engine speed adder exists; HCAMFG = 1 indicates an RPM adder above base idle is present. An adder to DSDRPM is coming on. I looked through your tune and I cannot find what that adder is. I hi...

I think the rise in desired rpm in coming from the ISC neutral RPM adder function (fn880). You could try setting the rpm to zero in the top row at 255 seconds.

Re: WOT tuning, High LOAD%
LAMBSE is reading .804 because FN1307 is being multiplied by FN303. Set all values in FN303 to 1 and LAMBSE will read the value in FN1307. Your load and load% values are high because the maf transfer function airflow is too high. You cannot dial in the maf transfer function above about 2.5 volts wit...

All Foxbody and SN95 Mustangs had an automatic clutch cable adjusting mechanism built into the clutch pedal also referred to as the quadrant. The manual clutch cable adjuster on the firewall is an aftermarket add on.

Re: Timing swinging at lower idle
One clarification. With spout removed, timing should not fluctuate from base timing. When you say the timing moves from 10 to 26 degrees with the spout disconnected, that's based on a timing light on cylinder 1, right? If your timing (timing light on balancer) moves around that much, something is n...

Re: Timing swinging at lower idle
You are correct the spark vs neutral RPM error table is RPM delta not actual RPM values. Everyone has their own way of doing things but I think the values you have are super aggressive. You might want to start with the stock A9L values and even tame those down some. Also the spark vs rpm table isn't...
