Re: Need help with U4P0 tune, dies when hot idle in drive

Thanks for the responses. I will see if I can get a data log, haven't tried to do one with the tweecer yet, have to figure out how to do it. May be a few days before I can get it, will not have any days off work for a while. I made a road trip with it and the fuel economy SUCKS so far. Only 20 mpg o...

Re: Need help with U4P0 tune, dies when hot idle in drive

I'd verify that your MAF curve is dialed in properly and then adjust your ISC transfers so that there is very little learned error (IPSIBR datalog paramater). If you think the car is too rich, a quick hack is to halve or even zero out the enrichment decay table at the ECTs you have the problem at. ...

Re: Need help with U4P0 tune, dies when hot idle in drive

This should be fairly easy to solve. My initial reaction was that maybe you need to adjust the pulse delay for the long tube headers which I thought was a Scalar but now I can't find it - maybe one of the other guys here will point us to the right one. The other thought I have is your MAF curve mig...

Need help with U4P0 tune, dies when hot idle in drive

It also wants to die when idling in nuetral after sitting for a minute or so. The idle surges too and gets bad just before it dies. I have tried some of the tune exchange CBAZA files, a couple helped a little, no egr, no thermactor, long tube headers. Don't know if this has anything to do with it bu...

Re: tunexchange - New community tuning site

Extremely impressed with tunexchange, can hardly wait to try the new tune. This is what has been needed since user programable tuners first came out. Looking forward to seeing more templates.

No, think the solenoid changed in 97 or 98, if you go to the stronger later tranny then you would.

Re: Can a T4M0 control a 4r70w

Also, remember that the impendence of the TCC solenoid is differnet on later 4R70W's than it is on the 94-95 AODE and will fry the board on the ECM if you don't change the solenoid to the earlier one.

Mine seems to be covered in silicone. Anyone had to clean this stuff off? I tried pencil eraser and alcohol and neither seems to work. It's a 2001 NUX1 EEC. Justin Yeah, my CUX1 eec in my '99 Lightning was that way. You have to very carefully remove that stuff with either scotchbrite or with a knif...

No, you can read or write to the tweecer with it plugged into the eec.

I was having what sounds to be a similar problem on my truck, '94 Lightning, C3P2 eec. My probelm was that it wouldn't read the eec correctly, came up with a really strange set of values and would not load a file to the eec. I was able to read the tweecer and write to the tweecer but it wouldn't loa...

Got it figured out, all working now. Seems I had the cables routed in a way that pulled on the tweecer and apparently made it not make full contact in the J3 port. Pulled it all back out and re-routed the cables and all is well now.

Live and learn I guess...

4 - 2 bank tunes, which is what I was told was right to set it at for my year model.

Problem with switch???

My truck, a 1994 Lightning with speed density LHBLO strategy, will only run on switch position 4 or the off position 5. As a test I wrote a stock base file to all positions (1 thru 4) but it will only run on position 4. Anybody have any ideas??? Also, I have tried to write a modified file to the #4 ...

New TwEECer RT owner here with questions

What are my first steps?

I have the software downloaded, wanting to start off slowly and work my way up as my understanding of the inner workings grows.

I have a 1994 Lightning with a C3P2 ecm, speed density.

Any guidance for a novice user would be greatly appreciated.
