Re: EA/BE calculations for HP/TQ

phutch - if you are able to find or re-create the file I would also love to get a copy of it as well! Thanks Cody Clint, It's been two years, a crashed computer, a wedding and a house since I fooled with it, but I may have a copy on my work computer. If not I can recreate it pretty easily. At the en...

Re: Second analog input up and running for CBAZA

I assume that the mainboards (or motherboards) is the tell tell sign of the difference. Although the strategies are the same, I assume that on the manual computers that maybe the chip (or chipsets) for the automatic transmission controls are not there. SO, if some with a manual computer with a main...

Re: Second analog input up and running for CBAZA

My car use to be an automatic so I still have the W4H0 computer laying around. Now I can setup the 5 speed tune on it, retain my EGR and feed my wideband signal through the TOT input. Yep :) Im still new to this but that also means that the Trans Oil Pressure input will also be available, correct? ...

Spark Safety Valve idea for Boosted CBAZA guys

I have been doing a lot of poking around lately in the CBAZA strategy for stuff that I can use for my application - Turbo. One thing I found recently is a way to wire up a "Safty Valve" that will kill the timing if my boost creeps or spikes above what is should. I found I can do this using a Hobbs s...

Re: How accurate is EA dyno tab?

I wondered the same thing a little while back about the HP calculations I was using in TunerPro and did some testing, I was pretty amazed how close the numbers and "curves" are to actual dyno numbers. Check out the graph below, this is a log from using a HP and Tq calculation with 12% driveline loss...

i used to have my fuel rail pressure sensor pipped into my tot signal on my 91 titanium sc, then when i swapped a 4r70w in her i gave it up for its true purpose lol i also had the canister purge controlling my meth injection regulator the possibilities are endless when you put your mind to it :) Ve...

Re: Second analog input up and running for CBAZA

Pretty cool. Are you logging with BE? If AFR could be logged separate of the EGR, then EGR could still be functional... Hhhmmm... Thanks - I am using TunerPro - the screen is from the real time data monitors. At this point I have not tested using any other input device like a Wideband, but it seems...

Re: Electrical Gurus - Need help on a EEC sensor circuit

I know what you mean, the diagram that you posted matches the info that I found, that was why I started thinking it would not work. But, when I plugged in the output from the Map sensor into the TOT pin - it logged the voltage as output within 0.1V. I suppose it is possible that the internal resista...

Second analog input up and running for CBAZA

Thought I would post up the results of some testing I have been doing to be able to log a second analog input directly into the EEC. I did not like the idea of using a serial to USB adaptor and have to hook up logworks etc, just seemed like to many moving pieces to me. So what I have found is a way ...

Electrical Gurus - Need help on a EEC sensor circuit

Can anyone tell me a more about how the EEC reads voltage from the Temp Sensors like ECT, ACT and TOT? Looking at how +VREF (Gray) and -Sig Return (GR/R) works, I am unclear on how the signal gets "back" to the EEC. What I would like to do is have a 0-5V signal that I can input into the +VREF on a t...

Calling 94-95 - 5 Speed Mustangs - Test log file

I am doing some testing and would like a datalog to compare to from a 94-95 CBAZA 5 Speed car (T4M0 or J4J1). I just need a short log making sure to log the Transmission Temp Sensor. Please post up if you are able to do the log or if you already have one.

Thanks

Re: Excel file for scaling up timing tables for boost

This is nice. May I recommend flipping the load scale so you start with 10 on the bottom and work your way up to 200. It just makes more sense to me to do it that way. Ok, here is a copy of the file with the load values "backwards" . Until you just said that I never understood why some people...

Excel file for scaling up timing tables for boost

I have been working on setting up my tune in preparation for installing the turbo and I created this excel sheet to help me visualize and compare my timing tables before and after scaling the "y" axis for boost. Re: Confirm a few CBAZA Datalog Locations

I believe the address for TOT is correct, but TOT is a processed and filtered value, and likely that processing may be dependent on the ECU knowing it has an automatic. Today I uploaded a U4P0 bin and did another test log, the TOT did the same thing it does with T4M0 - just bounces between a couple...

Is there a way to hook up a gm sensor or is the only way is thru plx sm boost/vac. You can log it over the EGR Sensor the same way guys log the Wide Band Sensors since the GM Map is a 0-5 volt output. I have mine hooked up to the EGR right now and it works great, currently it only measures vacuum, ...
