Yes. I have a dccontrol on my car. I would not buy anything flex-a-lite. I believe becool and spal make controllers too.

yes, i started trying so many different things I even created a base a9l image with things I needed for sure like disabled egr, smog, time@highload=0, etc

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

i think the relay fixed it. i have put 300 miles on the car since then and it hasn't done it.
so weird that the problem didnt exist until the tweecer was added. i can only assume it was the extra power draw.

datalogging boost

Is there any way to do with from BE? I have been looking through old posts regarding setting all timing including WOT via just the rescaled sealevel table, which i understand. But the only way I can see the boost level corresponding to load is by looking at my boost gauge and then the laptop, which ...

i had the same experience. I set mine to .4 and adjusted the idle rpm up. Thats all i have done with the idle settings and it works great.

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

I replaced the eec relay yesterday and drove it an hour without it seeming to do it. I datalogged it to verify but for some reason the logs were not on the computer so I couldnt verify in EA. I am hopeful that has fixed the issue.

Re: DFSO does not activate on A9L

Based on what Chris is saying makes me wonder about your T5. I've rebuilt lots of them, the top covers for later years dont have the neutral switch on them, was your super T5 built with a later top cover/no switch?

i made a dfso tune and tried it after work. Much better than the stock a9l stuff on my car. Before it would backfire on deceleration.

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

I ran the ftdi uninstall and tweecer driver reinstall per the instructions in BE. It seemed to help but not totally cure the problem. So, I am not sure if it really helped at all. Best I can figure perhaps the extra power draw from adding the tweecer is doing this. I may try another relay at some po...

Re: DFSO does not activate on A9L

That may be something I might try.(x3z on the a9l)

Especially since I have a gt40 intake, I wonder if some of the transient settings would be more ideal.

Has anyone tried this? I am very fussy with driveability, maybe it would improve deceleration and low load cruising.

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

Thanks for taking the time to look Brian. When the problems started, I tried fresh binaries from Clint's website, and also tried reading from the hardware. Do you think it could be an electrical/sensor issue that doesnt manifest itself unless there is a tune on it? It doesnt have the crazy issues on...

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

My maf does start at 0 and end at 15.9998.

Brian, I am at work right now, I'll email that or post it up tonight. I have redone the tune so many times and it never seems to make a difference - with fresh binaries. But I will gladly accept your offer to look at it.

the odd thing is that it doesnt do it on a stock tune. That is how I was able to get an inspection sticker for the car. I drove it there on the stock tune.

Please someone help!!! Im getting very bizarre and inconsistent problems. Re: Please help, car goes haywire with any tune, BE/tweecer

I cleaned my 10 pins, it seemed to help but not eliminate the issue. It seems like the car is going into open loop by itself when it happens. I can tell by watching the wideband gauge. The car is running great otherwise, its killing me.

Does the OL/CL thing maybe give any of you an idea?

Please help, car goes haywire with any tune, BE/tweecer

Ok. My car goes haywire whenever i modify any element of the tune, even just an idle change. The car just goes pig rich, buries the wideband, and wants to shut off. I have changed the tweecer with another one, so I know that is not it. It doesnt do it on a stock tune (position 5) so it isnt the comp...

Whenever you write a tune, should you always hear this? When I write my tune it isnt doing that. It does when I read it though.

Re: car goes dead rich and cuts out for a second

I downloaded a new binary from the EA website, and put in my settings from the old tune.
I let it idle and it appeared the problem was gone. So I'm hoping it was just a corrupt tune.

Thanks for looking at the log NotchAbove.
