Re: Lambes off drastically cylinder 6 pulling cylinder 5's f

Paulie its only cylinder 5 and the fuel ring is shiny black with no soot. Chris this is a 5.0 H.O stock intake that i probably spent to much money on, now if could just figure how to resize photos i would post photos, imagine a stock 5.0 H.O intake with ALL the oblong inline holes removed down 2'' d...

Lambes off drastically cylinder 6 pulling cylinder 5's fuel

I have some experiemental porting work done on my stock lower intake. I removed alot of material from the inside walls and was wondering if the fuel load for cylinder 5 is being stolen by cylinder 6 since the firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. As you can see 5 fires after 6 and since injector firing t...

Re: running rich AFR 10ish in closed loop while cruising

Adaptive strategy is probably pegged and can't pull anymore fuel. Things that need adjusted are

ALOSL just a guess but set it to 46
AHISL set to 42
FN348 to reflect the larger injectors percentage, difference between 19 to 42
is about 125%

What are you using to tune?

Re: New Injectors, 60lb EV14's

Did you get the single hole discharge or the 6 hole outlet (twin stream) From what i understand the single hole dischrge has a 70 degree plume. Did you buy them from Fuel injection connection (FIC) or
Fuel injection clinic (FIC)? Two different companies. Do you have a part number?

Re: New Injectors, 60lb EV14's

How did these injectors work out for you, i need new injectors and was concerned about the the twin spray pattern for this injector for it was designed for a 4 valve engine. Were you able to get a solid idle? What rpm was you shooting for? I would think you would need a single 22.5 degree spray stre...

i was at your shop i said to myself i want to do that, so i'm doing my own tuning now.

Re: Advice on buying injectors for a 2V 4.6

I love the idea of running the ev14 injectors but the dual cone spray causes the spray to hit the cold cylinder head wall. I wish i could find a ev14 injector that sprays a single 22.5 degree mist, i THINK the only other choice is the seimen deka 60 or 80 lb injectors, what say everybody else? I spe...

Re: Bad miss & stumble under load - no codes - is it the tun

The Motorcrafts don't go deep enough into the cylinder so there would be no problem there, but dependent on how long the wrong plug have been in there, there could be carbon buildup on the threads that were exposed to the combustion process and more than likely you might need a thread chaser to clea...

Re: Bad miss & stumble under load - no codes - is it the tun

Are you absolutely sure these are afr 165 heads? They are marked with the afr insigna
on the front of the head. If you put the wrong plug in you will hit the piston when cranking it over
and do alot of damage. I just want you to make sure. Are they aluminum?

Re: What to know before I turn the key?

PID SARCHG to 466
NUBASE to desired rpm
DRBASE to desired rpm
FN037 right column lb/intake values to all 3.90619
FN1329 injection firing order???
Eventually FN1306 AND FN348
AHISL AND ALOSL Slope values

I'm sure there is more.

Re: Bad miss & stumble under load - no codes - is it the tun

Wrong spakplugs if you have afr165 heads according to your info thats a gt40/e7 plug. If afr heads you need a autolite 3924 sparkplug. Yes i would siphon out as much of that gas as possible, gas loses its aromatics. 41 PSI of pressure at idle but maybe not the same pressure/volume under load. I run ...

Plug type and # ?
old fuel /add fresh
replace fuel filter
fuel pressure is?
Are you serving up your tune Example mode 2 tune 1, there was a problem with this at one time.

The fuel ring should all look close to the bottom left picture, its not perfect but close.

Re: First time tuning my HCI 302

A stuck closed injector will cause a lean condition richening the other cylinders needlessly. Use a noid light on the injector harness since there is easy acess now and this will make sure you have no breaks in the injector wires or have a bad injector driver in the ecu. Its as easy as installing th...

Data Q 158u does'nt have the ground offset issues, i use this one, its usb also. The dataq 148u is an
older model i believe, the 148 is 10 bit resolution vs 12 bit for the 158u. Read the software installation thourghly before installing the software its important.

Re: Leaning out at high speed

Good possibilty your out of injector or pump, 30 lb injectors are not that big on your setup
and if your injectors go static the afr will be erratic. What kind of pulsewidths did you see in
your logs? What was your fuel pressure at?

You have a big problem on bank two of your motor which needs adressed, that bank is dead lean. Problem could be... A dead 02 sensor, no power to the 02 sensor, a bad ground at the 02 sensor, a broke wire going from the 02 sensor back to the ecu. Switch the 02 sensor wiring from bank 1 to bank 2 and ...

Unless you have the Z_OLSW set to force OL your engine is adjusting your fueling to try to achieve via O2's varying the Lambes/short term fuel trims to get you to stoicmetric, so NO FN301 is not the correct table to adjust. Slopes/ battery offset/ breakpoint or the maf transfer are your tuning param...

Re: AFR at idle extremely lean

Long tube headers will cause issues because how far the oxygen sensors are from actual combustion secondly your cam has alot of duration which in effect causes alot of unburned air to escape out the exhaust valve and give a lean reading but that is not what is actually occuring within the cylinder. ...

My vote is for the supercharger and nitrous LOL...
