THANK YOU, JOHN (SKUNK). That was it, the checksum base. I set it to 8192 and bingo! There POWER IS BACK.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
Oh and I have had a failing tfi in the past. The car starts having a no start problem when hot, or just no start at all. I've seen none of this. I always thought the electrical parts in the distributor were a go or no go type of problem.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
I have an MSD coil, around three years old. Also a MSD 6AL-2, the same age. I've have run the car with the spark box removed, no change. If I don't have to, I don't want to just start throwing parts at my car. I'm trying to diagnose a problem first. The other thing is my car is just a summer cruiser...

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
I will post a datalog after work today. I'm using a stock distributor, and it has one of the so called high output tfi modules on it. Iforget the name of it. The cap, rotor and wires have around 1350 miles on them, I replaced them this spring.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
John, thanks for taking a look at my tune. I've made the adjustments you spoke of. I also looked at a log to see what my kg/hr is in a log with the 5400 problem. It was at 3.80 volts, which is around 1740 kg/hr. So the air flow to the EEC does not seem to be maxing out. I'll give it another test dri...

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
85GT, the dashboard rate is at 100ms. Data logging rate is 50ms, and speed correction is at 1.00. So from what you had mentioned, everything is set correct. Thanks

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
I'm not sure of what sampling rate I'm logging with. I've never changed it, should be the stock value from when BE loads after a fresh install. Any suggestions of what the rate should be? That way I can set it after work. Thanks.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
Yes, I will post my tune when I get home from work tonight. Last night I had a little time to look through my tune. I was going through the scales and comparing to a stock A9L time looking for anything odd.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
Jsa, I hate to sound like a newbee. But my Dataq device can log one channel as frequency, is this the same as Hertz? If it is, I'm how would I go about setting this up? I'm sure I would need a data table so that it would output the correct RPM? I guess I would need some have holding to do this.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
Previously load was maxing out at 200. I have now set sarchg to 390 cid, instead of 308. But that has no effect. Still my 5400 issue.

Re: Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
I have tried logging with the dataq turned off they BE. Still get the same results. I will try switching the USB cables. I'm not sure if this is just a logging issue, I'm pretty sure the engine won't Rev any higher than the 5400ish RPM also. I only have the stock tach on the car, so I don't have any...

Help, EEC will not log any data above 5400 RPM
I've been chasing this problem for awhile. New cap and rotor, plugs at .030, new wires. I've tried logging with two different computers. The Dataq keeps logging fine. No matter what I log in the payload, when the RPM hits 5400 ish no data coming from the EEC will climb any higher. I've enclosed a sc...

EEC all data halts at 5400ish RPM
I'm lost. All the channels in my payload will flatline when the engine tries to climb past 5400ish RPM. The plugs are at .030, I've replaced the wires call and rotor. I just don't know what direction to go in. The car drives fine, it's not like it's breaking up. Or that it hits a wall. It just won't...

Re: 5400 RPM datalog channels flatline
Ok, I've repaired my windows OS install. I've also then reinstalled BE. The RPM spikes are gone. I still can't get payload channels to log after I reach 5400ish RPM all data just flatline. I have a screen shot, but I can't get it to attach.

Looking for a datalog with valve float
I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my datalogs. I'm thinking maybe valve float. I can't get any data above 5400ish RPM. All the data streams just flatline. My dataq still gives me good data.

Re: 5400 RPM datalog channels flatline
Ok, I have been just logging RPM. I get a lot of nose or unusable data. I get large consistent spikes up into the 15 to 20k range. I also noticed tonight that when I Cruz our accelerate above 2500 rpm, that the Charing system battery light glows dimly. The voltage gauge shows 13.5 to 13.75 volts. An...

5400 RPM datalog channels flatline
Ok here's what I've got. 90 AL9 tweccer rt, I'm using BE to data log and program. I have had this problem for awhile now, it seams that when I into heavy or WOT once the RPM reach's 5400 and above all the channels I'm logging just flatline. I've rewritten the time from scratch. I've tried logging fr...

Re: Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
For now, I have disabled FN1360. I want to get my MAF transfer dialed in better first. I will eventually play around with FN1360, but I need to do some research on it. I need to learn how to apply the patch.

Re: Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
OK my fuel shutting off problem is solved. Yes I had FN1360 enabled, and I did not have the bin hack added. This what caused both of my problems. Now with it disable, fueling dose not shut down, and my ECT displays correct again. Thanks for everyone's time and help!

Re: Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
...While the values in FN1360 are intended to be warm-running temps, they could be too lean for cooler ECTs. FN325 is active at the same time FN1360 is and lets you enrich at lower ECT conditions. In the degrees F colum of FN325 the values are all -2. Can these temps be changed to reflect actual EC...

Re: Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
...There is no FN325 in the GUF* strategies, this (along with FN1360, ECTSTABL and ECTSTHYS) is an added hack... So let me get this right. If FN1360 & FN325 is an added hack, that they both go hand in hand. If you use FN1360 to define OL stabilized fuel, then you must also at least set the values i...

Re: Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
Yes, I know my fuel is all over the place. That is what I am trying to figure out. I was looking over my log at lunch today, and I did notice that when ever my TPS voltage went over 3.2 volts is when my fueling shuts off. My log still shows TPS voltage when it is higher than 3.2 volts, so I don't th...

Exp. user stumped, Can I get some Help!
First off I have been TwEECe-ing for about 3 years now, and I am perplexed. I have a twin turbo on my 306, EEC is GUFB-A9L, I am tuning with BE. I have been chasing a problem all spring. I thought it was a turbo problem, like a bad hose connection or a blow off valve leak. But tonight I found out th...
