Updated 4.0.2 to fix problem with sym names in multibanks (-> ironman) Also taken opportunity whilst fixing to add bank number in indirect [xxxx] or indexed [Rn + xxxx] psuedo code where code is sure that the address is an absolute one. Re: SAD disassembler progress

Thanks heaps to you all for these, and the workarounds - useful clues for me. I think I found the incorrect argument cause in CARD. I can't get the linux version to crash with feeding CARD msg file back as a dir (yet). Will try in my Win Build. No too surprised on this as I had to mess around quite...

I am experiencing an error where an address is not being resolved properly. I am completely green in this, but in other versions this worked properly. looking for the MAF curve i can find the address in the following code. This is for GCM2 Cal, i have attached the bin. Re: New to EEC Tuning but have some GM OBD1 experience

Yes that is the package i was talking about. and yes it flashes directly over the obd2 port. There are pros and cons to the flash cable vs the quarterhorse. Quarterhorse is superior to the flash cable in the areas of quick tune changes and datalogging, aka can make realtime changes without power cyc...

Re: New to EEC Tuning but have some GM OBD1 experience

Its a good package. You dont really need anything extra outside of what is included in the package. Although i would recommend getting the OBD2 package and getting a quarterhorse separately. That way if you ever decide to tune anything 05 or newer you will be able to, but you can use the OBD2 flash ...

If you have any updated docs to what I have saved, I would love to get a copy to add to the collection. Over the last few years I've been collecting anything I can find related to eec-iv and eec-v and the 8061/65 series processors. I'm always looking for more things to add. I have an old sales/servi...

Re: Random IAC opening...Gremlin!!

Had something similar happen myself, it wasnt exactly the same but close enough. First, its a waste of time to "adjust" the TPS. The ECM uses the lowest Voltage measured as "RATCH" and subtracts that from the actual voltage to get a relative voltage. Ratch can get lower but cant come back up without...

Re: Unknown pcm identification

The fact that Bank 1's HEGO will respond is an indication it isn't a sensor or wiring problem, but some other issue. My guess is you have an exhaust leak or some other problem that's getting O2 into the exhaust on that bank throwing the Bank 1 HEGO's measurements. But that's just a guess. I can't r...

Update: I got it idling on CBAZA. its finicky as hell. it seems i got bank 1 issue possibly, it reads dead lean at idle while bank 2 switches around stoich. give it some/enough throttle and bank 1 responds. so, i turned on open loop, set both fuel tables to stoich and set startup fuel to zero. cust...

Re: Eec v erased

had something similar happen to me a few years ago. If it was a software glitch in how BE handled your ECU then Coretuning should make it right. Otherwise if it was an error on your part, you can still flash your ecu, but it will require another token. Hope this helps.

Re: Logging ethanol content

Both the ford and gm sensors are frequency based. They use the frequency to derive ethenol % and pulse width to measure fuel temp. The gm one is usually used as it was more widely available, and uses more sensible values. The gm sensor uses 50hz to 150hz to directly correlate to ethenol %. The ford ...

I got both editions from the update program that's included with BE. I've often found that the website is often a last priority for updates. The only thing I can gather is that the whole data logging system within how BE interacts with def files has changed. The problem you will have is the data log...

PSA about BE version 5.136 and Sailorbob Defs

Hello, Just to inform everyone, a new BE version rolled out recently. As of this writing it breaks compatibility with all of Sailorbobs definitions. So if you use Sailorbobs defs, you will need to stay on version 5.122 or earlier. This appears to be the last version that is still supports Sailorbobs...

Core Tuning shows the GGL2 as CDAN3, not CDAN4. I also did not see GGL2 listed in the Ford Stratagies listing that i have, but 96 Mustangs are CDAN3. One reprieve is that the hardware code is the same from what i can tell, so reflashing it or installing a chip with one of the CDAN4 bins would be you...

Everything I posted about will cause your setup to run less than optimal. The problem with sct in this generation of processors is sct has no logging ability, so sct and the tuners just throw templates that sort of get them the results they want. When something doesn't go right they have no way to i...

I believe it was a loophole that is being exploited. Something about having to be stock in appearance or something like that. It's been years since I was told about them. Can't remember the exact rule that was being worked around.
