Howdy,
For an EEC-IV ecu you must use a Hall effect cam sensor.
For an EEC-V ecu you must use a VR cam sensor.

Howdy,
Yes, MSD no longer makes the cam plug but a regular 351W distributor can be modified as well.

Gowdy,
I built my own from a MSD cam sync plug and a 4.6 cam sensor.
Easy peazy. Works great.

Howdy, You need to use accurate injector data. Once you have this, all your fueling corrections will be made elsewhere. Mitch I thought I was using accurate fuel injector data -- it is common data found for the Siemens Deka 60lb injectors. AHISL = 60.2676 ALOSL = 63.1876 Breakpoint = 3.3628 Offsets ...

Howdy,
I'm running the SD 60lb injectors on my 414W stroker with a '06 Ford slot MAF in a 4" OD tube. Runs great but did take a little tweaking.
Like everyone stated, dump the PMS and get a QH.

Howdy Shaker, I'm a little late to this thread but being a Cleveland fan from back in the '70s I was going to say that you needed a lot more timing, especially with the open chambered heads, than what you were running but you already figured it out. As far as radiators go, that old brass/copper down...

Howdy Badshoe, I'm on my iPhone instead of my laptop so I cannot tell you exactly where it is but it's in the transmission settings. Re: VBAT reading "0" on datalog.
Howdy,
Problem solved:
It was a bad ECU. I switched to a spare ecu, installed the QH, downloaded my tune and it runs!
I still have a lot of tuning to do but it actually runs.

VBAT reading "0" on datalog.
Howdy, I've been running very rich and unable to figure out why until now. It's because while dataloging VBAT is reading "0". This throws the injector offset vs voltage out of whack since it uses the "0.0" voltage reading which is 2.41ms instead of something around 1ms. When I set my offset at 0.0 V...

Howdy, Well, I pulled the ecu out and removed the QH reconnected the ecu and refired the engine it ran about the same so it looks like the QH wasn't working properly. Re: 414W w/ EEC-V CDAN4 running pig rich.
Howdy Geek, Nope, it's not the injectors. Since the TPS is acting screwy I'm going to pull the ecu and remove the QH, power up the ecu, remove power from the ecu, clean the connector on both the ecu and the QH, reinstall the QH, download a base tune and go from there. That's all I know to do at this...

Howdy,
I would use an American EEC-V CDAN4 ECU from a '96-97 Ford T-bird with a 3.8 V-6 and sailorbob's def file.
It's the same strategy that's used in the '96-97 Mustang GT and it's fully cracked.
Download Decipha's ZXA5 base tune, add your stuff and you'll be up and running.

Howdy,
I'm using the SD 60lb injectors but instead of using the stated minpw of 1.391 I used .599 which is from the 80lb units IIRC.
For cranking PW just follow Decipha's formula. I had to drop my numbers .1 in every cell.

Howdy Soup, From a different POV: If you're concerned about how loud it is when idling, why not just add mufflers? With a properly setup exhaust you will not lose any or very little power. Or if you're concerned about a few horsepower, you can add electrically operated exhaust dumps to the exhaust s...

Howdy Ironman, I'm clueless. But you can go to your local Pick-N-Pull and get a couple of plugs from a Town Car ( they are under the hood on the DS near the brake booster and the easiest ones to get to ) and cut them up to get the pins. Hopefully you can get enough that are reusable for your project...
