Current instructions for logging LC-1 with BE

I know there were challenges configuring this in the past. I've been told it can operate very stable. I have my Innovate LC1 wideband wired through EVP pin on the PCM. I also have the option of using serial/USB adapter cable. I don't have a preference as long as I get WB in my BE logs. Are there any...

Thanks. That literally made the files about 99% smaller.

Re: Proper file size for a BE tune?

Not sure I know where the change log would be. I was looking in my old tune folder. The file size appears to have jumped from about 59KB to 8MB in a single day (long ago). I wouldn't think I could type changes that fast.

Proper file size for a BE tune?

I am using the current version of BE. My tune files are about 8MB in size. When I originally started using BE2012, my tokened tune file and a few of my original tunes are well under 1MB. Just curious what I should expect to see as a normal tune file size. Thanks.

Re: Anyone willing to write a tune for some cash

They will require more info for somebody to know what you actually need. Do you have Quarterhorse or Tweecer? What tuning software do you own if any? Or are you looking for a chip? And to answer your other question I sure wouldn't start a fresh engine with new injectors and a large non stock MAF. Ru...

Re: cam questions

The rocker info is interesting, what would you have with the 1.7 and a GT cam? You would then have a very popular mod. It's been done MANY times before. The stock GT cam is not half bad. It picks right up with a blower or nitrous too. As already stated the FMS cams had their day and are f...

Re: Tweecer dead.... again

No matter what tuner you buy next, I would sure be hesitant to plug it into that PCM until you test it. On another car with your stock tune perhaps? May not be a thing wrong with your PCM, but I'd sure avoid the expensive experiment finding out.

Re: cam questions

You'll probably want the 1.7 ratio cobra rockers to go with it. Are you aware the cobra cam is smaller than the standard GT cam until you add the rockers?" ,

Moate's customer service!

Big thumbs up for Moates customer service. My battery went dead on my Quarterhorse. They replaced it express RMA. I had one within a few days. I paid for a new one up front, but after the old unit was returned it only cost me shipping and now I have a brand new QH with a replaceable battery. That's ...

Re: Best Practices - 347 internal zero balance rev limit??

Woody from Fordstrokers has a lot of PICs of stroker failure. He did my machinework. He told me detonation is what kills 347s most often. The main caps walk and it's all over soon. I also have a 347 in an SN95 stang. 28oz external balance. Still pretty fresh but I have had it down the track a dozen ...

Re: Desired AFR at W.O.T.

Non-specific answer I know but you need to tell your WB software what is in the fuel tank. Gasoline-E10-E85-Racing fuel all have a different stoic. Lambda is 1.0. You have to tell it what 1.0 is. Somebody smarter than me feel free to explain it more thoroughly.

Re: Stock Tune. T4MO Car dies when going to closed loop.

You are loading the stock tune with the QH? The identical tune that is already on the stock PCM? I guess that begs the question does the car act the same if you remove the QH? Any trouble codes stored?

Re: Desired AFR at W.O.T.

Thanks, I found my backup CD which has my Lasota tuning book and some other info I gleaned from this site a year or so ago. I'll be careful to ensure my tune and Innovate WB software are all reading E10. I'd like to stay 100% gasoline but I know I will just end up having a problem getting fuel when ...

Re: Desired AFR at W.O.T.

I was using 14.7, but I doubt I will be able to find 100% gasoline this year in 91-92 Octane. It will be E10 Premium more than likely. I'm not certain what the stoic would be for E10 off the top of my head. I gave the car a few shakedown runs on a base tune last year. If i remember correctly I was r...

Re: Did my Moates QH die?

That's odd. Not arguing with you, just a little confused. I've never been able to start the car on the Ford tune before with 42# injectors and LMAF. It ran for awhile yesterday. Not perfect by any means or for a long time before the pump began running continuosly. Eventually it would only run 10 sec...

Desired AFR at W.O.T.

94 Mustang with a 347. There is a big penalty for detonation on the stock block. Anyone have a suggestion you are confident with over the long term? Mostly a strip car that sees 6500 RPM. I promise not to sue you for commenting. :)

Re: Did my Moates QH die?

Is it possible to harvest the tune off of it in this condition? Otherwise I start over but I have notes so I'll recover. Had a base tune, safe and good enough to race so I'd sure rather start there. When I get my DEF file registered to the new laptop I can answer this question myself.

Did my Moates QH die?

It's been a bad Mustang week. Two laptops died and my tokened tune files are all gone. Lesson learned, I should have had backups off the PCs. Mustang has been down about 8 months as I sucked a 1/4" long piece of lifter retainer clip into the oil pump and she locked up. The pump, not the motor thankf...

Unmetered air, how big of a deal is it really?

I have read how introducing unmetered air is a bad thing, and I understand the concept. But how vital is it really? I noticed numerous sources of unmetered air on my engine. I am running a PCV off one side, and also intended to run the valve cover oil filler cap vent to the intake tract ahead of the...

Microsoft has a very low price on WIN 8 for the next couple weeks and I am considering it. Not going that route if it isn't a good fit for BE yet.

Re: No transfer button for wideband?

When you purchased BE license did you indicate AEM? My understanding is your license is good for one tuner and one logging device. In my case, I have a QH tab and an Innovate WB Tab. I am unfamiliar with Superlogger so I don't know if you can enter your AEM TF there.

My stang was horrible when it was emissions legal, didn't have a short runner intake etc. Real easy to pull the VCs now, and I am very much hoping to NOT have a need to take advantage of this feature very often.

Re: Ready to datalog the new 347, running BAD!

I know this is a old post. Do you have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator? If so what is your fuel pressure with vacuum off. I have mine set to 39 psi with the vacuum off. What is your Air Fuel ratio? On the advice of decipha I ditched the fancy FPR and put a stock one back on. Definitely acts mu...
