Re: Cbaza, a4a1, edis8

The ignition type scalar would need to be set to 4. Whichever bin you choose will need to have code for edis where the code branches for ignition type 4. If you install the edis module, crank sensor and 36-1 wheel, it will run at a fixed ignition timing of 10° btdc. Connecting edis to the eec with a...

Get a gps app on your phone that displays speed. Use that as a benchmark.

Speedo and VSS could be wrong after your changes.

Re: Aviator MAF Meter / Bolt Pattern Adapter?

Hooking up to the ECU is the time honored method.

Ford published updates for WDS and IDS, so CD's for those systems contain BIN's.
They are named on the disk by strategy, not by catchcode.

See if you can find out the strategy names.

Re: Hot start on second crank problem

Ok, lack of spark and Inj PW until running is a definition file issue. Payloads need to be identified and added to the definition. Spikes and dips...two things. 1. Capacitors filter that sought of thing out. Check out the caps in the EEC, they may not be keeping the sensor 5v feed stable. 2. Crankin...

Search the strategy doc for VSS, all the implications are covered.

https://github.com/OpenEEC-Project/Strategy-Documents

Search TRLOAD in the doc. Set it in your tune to suit your transmission configuration.

Re: Hot start on second crank problem

Hold the throttle flat while cranking, that will trigger de-flood mode. It'll help if it's rich while cranking.

Turn ignition on, start logging, crank engine. BE and QH will log through a start.

Re: Aviator MAF Meter / Bolt Pattern Adapter?

AFH80-6E is a Hitachi number. The idea it is 80mm has merrit based on my experience of other Hitachi meters I've seen. If no one has the transfer at hand, then it can be found in the bin from the EEC for the application. COSY is the second catchode, the engineers picking something appropriate. The f...

Re: Binary editor

If the definition you are using requires tokens then you need to purchase tokens.

Use a definition without tokens or, as you suggest, different tuning software and definition.

If tokens are not required by the definition, then it is a BE bug.

Re: Blow through meter on n/a engine

The disqualifying aspect of blow-thru MAFs on N/A engines has to do with their airflow measuring capacity (at least those are the reasons I've heard so far). They are usually way oversized for the task of being an N/A engine's MAF. But in the case of a slot-style MAF, you can redeploy them in a sma...

I have converted the xdf to the bones of a BE def.

The converted def needs considerable manual editing to tidy it up. I could attach the converted def if you want it. It needs considerable time spent on it.

After that it is having the QH set to serve the tune from from the location it is stored on the QH.
If that's all set right from TP then its a QH or EEC error.

Re: Greetings and a question

I think BE is the choice if you want extra logging I/O. A plugin could be written for TP but you can't talk to the QH at the same time. I'd expect the trans temp to have bias or pullup resistors tied to the input. Not tested it though. If it is the case then it would bias the WB reading, so not ideal.

Welcome. Tpro rt accepts a single data stream. That means the qh OR another. So a QH with a Superlogger in series is one Moates data stream for Tpro rt. BE can handle multiple data streams as purchased withe the BE license. You could use a superlogger input for WB. You could use a WB with serial dat...
