Re: Shorted ECT sensor?

A good IR gun can work well for the task.

I believe there are a couple different sensor types, so just check the right one is fitted.

No I do not know the temperature - resistance curve for your application.

Re: Shorted ECT sensor?

Measure the temperature at the sensor and compare it to the ecu's value.

Additionally it could be the wrong sensor type for your EEC hardware.

Re: Is Lambse adjustable

For closed loop operation HEGO Bias can be adjusted. This would be for emissions or economy reasons.

For open loop operation FN1360 etc. can be adjusted. This would be for performance reasons.

Re: Issues with PTP2 (04GTAUTO) Box and RVAF3C8 Strategy (01COBRA)

Those numbers are the hardware codes.

The hardware is different, so it quite likely it wont work.

Your injector 7 issue is likely a symptom of the software driving an output for some other purpose while you have injector 7 connected to that output.

Yes that's right, enough to allow you to write the bin out to QH, hopefully.

A complete definition takes considerable time.

Sing out if you can't write it successfully.

Better off with a MAF giving actual mass flow readings readings and putting that along with real injectors size in your bin.

ForDiag will read DCL data but it is limited.

Ask Tomin, what is spported for your application, here;
http://forum.fordiag.cz/

The other way is too take on the big job of disassebly of your bin and identifying the parameters. Then a QH and BE could be used for realtime data.

Re: change MAF to MAP

A lot of sensors are microprocessor driven with the sensor output being a DAC. 8 bit DAC outputs 256 different values, 10 bit...1024, 12 bit... 4096. 8061 is 10bit ADC input. I think I read somewhere that 8065 is 12bit ADC. Then it depends on how many bits the code retains. So it is very easy to mak...

Re: change MAF to MAP

The slot MAF is a 12bit sensor...GM?...

To over simplify, a linear MAP sensor does not make mass flow linear.

Log MAP against MAF, ACT, TP and RPM. See what you make of the data.

It can be made to work, subject to depth of knowledge and skills.

Re: change MAF to MAP

Fuel is mixed with air by mass. 1kg of fuel for ~14.7kg of air at lambda=1. MAF measures MASS. You can have as good as the same pressure from idle to WOT. Temperature changes the density of air, mass per unit of volume. The relationship between flow and pressure is exponential not linear. MASS Air F...
