Re: BE Logging question on AFR_Error and/or multi tag arithmetic

I thought there was a XML or Excel file in the BE install folder that defined those calculated logging channels. I can't find it in my install folder, so maybe it's now hard coded.

Re: EEC-IV advice required. Based UK V8 speed density(MAP) 302

As I said it seems to run car fine and has been installed from new. Is there an idle issue? Idle control is a combination of the mechanical stop position and EEC settings for control of ignition advance and idle control valve. Typically Ford code is looking for a TPS voltage less than 1.25V for clo...

Re: EEC-IV advice required. Based UK V8 speed density(MAP) 302

DA1 is the catchcode.

Try Sabre tuning in the UK, they will likely ask for the catchcode.

There appears to tuning support for it under LUX0 strategy.

Re: EEC-IV Crashes at high rpm

Your application is not familiar to me, but the tune changes don't appear to be out of order by comparing to OEM in BE. I see a number of switches changed, no idea if the combination will work correctly?? At 8.72 seconds in the log a number of values change but never return to something plausible by...

Looks good 437 is a base value held in R22.

If you do an rbase for 22 over the range of that sub, SAD will calculate and name those indexed addresses.

JZP4 is CDAN4 strategy according to eecanalyzer.net, so CDAN2 strategy document is the closest.

Naming as per the strategy documents is best practice.

Try using the GUFB definition as the template to read and save the BIN from your EEC-IV box.

Needless to say, nothing in your bin will line up, just read and save the bin, don't edit anything.

J3 port needs to be clean, so no plastic coating or goop remaining.

Yes the EEC should be powred up (ignition on) to get a clean read.

No it is not saved in KAM.

Spark is continuously recalculated.

SPKAD will be stored in a register or RAM.

Yes, contact can be made with the crimp terminal. You may have to push past the side of a weather seal if fitted.

Well that yielded some interesting results. I just don't see a good way to get to the wire at the ECU, when the engine has to be running. And I'm paranoid that if I try to probe the pin, I might touch something I'll regret. Back probe the harness connector if a break out box is not available. Does ...
