Re: Getting corrupted datalogs out of nowhere

I tried a different laptop, and it is working OK. I had tried uninstalling BE, but it kept all my old settings. I'll try uninstalling and removing all the old directories and try again.

Re: Looking for boosted timing advice...

No, not using A9L2, but I used it when I first started to try and understand why some things did what they did... Changed the stock tune to your BIN and watched the changes. I figured if that's your suggestion, it won't blow it up

Getting corrupted datalogs out of nowhere

As you can see at ET 1.481347424, line 59, my FLAGS1 payload gets shifted over one. Obviously this is an issue. I have tried slowing down and speeding up the capture rate and the refresh rate. Nothing seems to help. The only scenario that gave me a perfect log was datalogging with the key on, engine...

Re: Looking for boosted timing advice...

Ok, so not much more than I'm running would be safe. Good, so my next question would be about ACT reduction. Since I don't have an intercooler (hooked up, anyways), I should start pulling at around 170* on up? Maybe 2-4* or so?

Looking for boosted timing advice...

Ok, so before anyone beats me up... I searched around, and found the answers to my question. ;) That's the problem, everyone has a completely different opinion on what I should do. Obviously, the best way to find out where I should be is on a dyno, but for now I'd like to try and get the most out of...

Re: No NSS & VSS yet, how should I setup the tune?

Went ahead and traced the NGS and wired it in to pin 30 & 46. FLAGS3 B6 tells me that it's working. Hopefully this might address some decel idle issues I'm having.

No NSS & VSS yet, how should I setup the tune?

I replaced the ECU harness in my car a few months ago. I bought one of the Motorsport ones, and it worked quite nicely. The only two issues I've seen so far that I might be having a problem with are: There are no provisions in the harness for the NSS There are no pins for the VSS I've already change...

Re: Idle issues when warm

Well, looks like I'm almost there. Here is a zip with the tune, the maf I used, a log, and another maf I am going to try tomorrow that I ran through SciDAVis. I picked a whole bunch of points from the log where the AFR matched the LAMBSE exactly, and interpolated it... it is almost perfectly smooth....

Word. That's the way I've been doing it since I started, so let's go again. I just recalibrated my LC-1, so I should be good to go.

Re: Idle issues when warm

Ok, 11.1 it is. Done with dinner... about to go for a long ride. I set my injectors to the "FRPP 42 - F302 @ 39.15psi" from here . This is where I never know what to do next. Not sure if I should do a long drive, and get injector data from EA, then drive again to adjust the MAF... or do I get the MA...

Re: Idle issues when warm

AFR is good for a pump gas street car in the Florida heat.
So keep it at 11.1? I had mine I think around 11.8 or so.

Yeah, I had it dyno'd, but it was slipping on the rollers. The most he got out of it was 370-something at a 11.1 AFR.

Re: Idle issues when warm

Ok, so I started with a fresh, blank A9L bin. I changed only the stuff needed to get going. I found a transfer in CalEdit for a Pro-M 80mm 1996 GT 42# calibration. The only difference is my MAF is supercharger calibrated. This is exactly what I have, with the exception of the S/C cal. I put this in,...

Re: Idle issues when warm

Didn't change. I did find one issue though, it helped a little but didn't fix it. The scalar TRLOAD was set to 3, manual, both clutch and gear switches. It needs to be set to 0. I replaced the wire harness with a new Motorsport harness, and it doesn't have provisions for the NSS. This setting was no...

Re: Idle issues when warm

So my idle isn't moving off of 21*. Not sure, because anything related to spark (other than the sealevel table) hasn't been modified. Here is my bin and a log at idle, with a rev. Maybe I'm missing something.

AFR Averager

OK, last utility for a while :) I need a little feedback on this one, though. Basically, what I did was analyze the input log, and did these calculations: #1: Ignore all RPMs below Min RPM, and ignore all LOAD below Min VMAF. #2: For each VMAF in the list, I found all matching VMAFs in the log, with...

Idle issues when warm

So I've got my idle fuel, cruise, and WOT fuel, idle air, and timing right about where I want it. Maybe some fine tuning, but much better than before. Now I have one issue that seems to be opposite of everyone else. My idle when cold is perfect, but when she's warm (over 180), coming to a stop most ...

Ok, here is the idle air tool as well. Could you change the title of this to something like calculating tools, or something to that effect? As with the AFR tool, this also contains the source.

Re: basic settings...

You always could use the Cobra tune to get things going. It would have the correct injectors (if they are the same 24# that came on the Cobra) and the MAF curve should match as well. If not, that's what the A9L2 is for. Change your required parameters, and let her fly!

AFR vs LAMBSE calculator

I wrote a small program to help when dialing in the MAF. Maybe you guys can get some use out of it as well. The source code is included, if you want to compile it yourself. Simple to use, just type your LAMBSE and AFR you are getting, and it spits out the % difference and a multiplier to apply to th...

Thanks for the tips, guys! I'm only pushing about 7#, with 93. No meth inj. yet. I'll enable CL, set the CL timer quicker, turn on all the logging, and drive to work with it.

Re: Getting MAF and injectors dialed in

I didn't log it. Here is my tune and a log. I played with it a bit after work today, and I'm getting it close. I used the factory spec, and the "Pro-M 42" canned transfer from EA. I am chasing this rich spot around 3.3-3.8v. I'll get the difference, and change the MAF table, but I can't get it stead...
