Re: Back end engineering software from the factory
I don't know that it would do you any good, even if you had a copy of the software. Remember, whatever software they used, was intended for a machine of the 80s. And assuming that machine was Intel-based, it was most likely a 16-bit application that ran under MS-DOS. It wouldn't be compatible with ...

Re: Cosworth EECIV GHAJ0 ANTI.bin pinout
Hello Bryn, I have a couple differences to your pic ... Pin 49, your calling PATS, what do you base that on ? I am interested to add Cosworth's pinouts of EEC-IV on my site. I think 49 is for OBD socket or DLC more likely of the ISO9141 (Pin7) where you can signal to PATS. Wild guess based on other...

Could these errors just be at somewhere hidden behind Warning sign at bottom of window bar?
I hated these when i did try BE.
I know there is errors but i just am not responsible to fix those and i can't so shut off

In case of European Fords at least. But anyway EEC-IV no OBD-II.. it has it's own protocol.

I have my IAC disabled and blocked off. My idle airflow is mechanically set and constant. I have my idle set at 900rpm. I forced Open Loop and fixed until i hit what i wanted via Fuel Table or ECU (LAMBSE) demanded at part throttle, WOT or idle. I understood it this way; when fuel is what ECU wants it does not fix it in Closed Loop.

Ah yeah...cool... Is it just the 256k bins that have that...because i had a look at some 64k bins (a9L) and there was nothing in that.. Im thinking 256k bins started with eecv yeah? It's depends.. Re: Lean or Rich WOT depending Gear
if you at WOT then you'll be on the linear slope of the injector, if you have different AFRs at the same mafv then you obviously have a metering problem, either the maf is bad or you have too much turbulence in the maf tract that it can't measure it correctly I think you are right. My laptop is slo...

Re: Hunting idle, AFR
OK. That does make sense. I have a couple of points I don't quite understand. 1. The car definitely appears to be running very rich at startup since it's smoking a bit but the wideband sensor is showing AFR that's pretty lean most of the time. I realize that my wideband sensor is pretty old and tha...

Re: Lean or Rich WOT depending Gear
If you are in open loop and lambse is commanding the same AFR and the maf voltage is the same but the wideband is showing a different afr at a different rpm/load then your injector slope/breakpoint/batt. comp. are off. Thanks for answering! Slopes are equal as a stock calibration. So there is no pr...

Lean or Rich WOT depending Gear
Short story. When i push WOT at lower gear (2700RPM) AFR is about 13 and LOAD is 76%.. When higher gear (2000RPM) AFR drops 10.8 as lowest and LOAD spikes to 89%. My PRLDSW is 1 and i did try 0 or 2 but did not fix problem. Forced Neutral State (TRLOAD = 0) so both is same as in stock calibration. F...
