Re: Idle air problem

I re-ran the test and blocked off all my vacuum lines and unplugged the TPS. Oscillations were greatly reduced. I started plugging in vacuum lines one at a time, and it started acting up again. It ended up being a blown out PCV valve! Anyway, problem solved, ISC corrections went to zero and its runn...

Re: Idle air problem

No, I forgot to unplug the TPS, good call. I will try that when I get home.

Idle air problem

I am trying to get my idle air dialed in per idle air 101. When I disconnect the spout to lock out timing, disconnect the ISC, and crack the throttle to get the engine close to DSDRPM, I can get the engine to stay close to DSDRPM but it will still oscillate around + or - 200 rpm. I have also forced ...

Dashpot/Spark issue

Im running a 351 with a mildly aggressive cam in my f150 and i'm using the sailorbob way1 definition. I have my idle fuel/air dialed in. Im pretty happy with my dashpot and spark. When I rev the engine high, say 4000+ rpms, the rpms fall at a nice rate, hit NUBASE, lock in, and spark source switches...

Re: Hego voltage issues with long tube headers

I made the adjustments you suggested. I could not find the byples scalar or HEGO breakpoint. HEGO voltage still dances pretty rapidly.

Hego voltage issues with long tube headers

I have been having issues with my HEGO reading lean at idle and bouncing back and forth from .1 volts to .9 while driving. I am guessing this is due to my headers. I have the (brand new) sensor placed in the collector where all 4 pipes meet. What is the proper way to adjust the bias, delay, and ampl...

Re: BE tach not working

Is there any way to get around this? If I want to datalog what do I need to do? Is there a different strategy that will work?

Re: BE tach not working

Also ECT reads -2 degrees F even when truck is at operating temp. All dash gauges work in vehicle, just not in BE

Re: BE tach not working

Yes, i check the box for rpm, then begin the datalog. It usually gives me some wild number. I am using the VEX1 strategy with the WAY1 calibration downloaded from the EEC analyzer site.

BE tach not working

When I try to data log in BE, if I check the rpm box and hit start it just stays at one constant value. Usually around 2500 or 16000. I don't know where these numbers are coming from. Also while driving, speed stays at zero. Any advice?

Tuning for 24lb injectors with 55mm maf

I just installed my 351w in my truck, I have installed 24lb injectors but cant afford new maf and intake right now. I have the quarterhorse with EA and BE. Best strategy/calibration for Way1 eec

I have just completed Maf conversion and engine swap on my 1992 f150. I did the maf conversion using all stock 302 1995 f150 parts including the Way1 eec and 19lb maf. The engine I dropped in is a 351w roller with 351N heads, cam has 270/276 duration and .544 lift int/exh, and 24lb injectors from a ...
