However what nobody's been able to tell me is if part of the OBD-II emission test includes queries to the EEC to verify that things like EGR and after-CAT HEGOs are still activated in the tune. If the emission station tests are sophistocated enough to detect custom tunes, then simply turning it off...

Right. This is the CDAN4 strategy. So maybe it is different. Oh well, I'll try it and see. I have to go through emissions, and I think for the OBD-II cars they just plug it into the computer (no dyno rollers anymore). Having the check engine light on may result in an immediate fail. So I've got to f...

Ahh!!! So it sounds like I actually have it configured incorrectly then, for removed EGR. I will set it to 2 and see what happens.

Thanks for the info!! :D

edit: BTW, the stock LLX4 ('97 Cobra) tune shows EGR system type = 1. So the new(er) Mustangs must have that newer EGR system.

I checked the tune on the Cobra last night... EGR System Type = 0 I'm assuming that is correct, although I have seen EGR set to 0, 1, or 2 in some tunes. Not sure what type = 2 does. Anyone know if I have this set correctly, and whether or not there are other scalars that need to be set? Thanks, Brian

Thanks. I will have to check the EGR on the Expedition. Maybe one of the hoses popped off or split.

I'll also check the tune on the Cobra and make sure EGR is in fact disabled.

Two EEC codes... what do they mean?

On my '00 Expedition, I'm getting P1405 code: Differential Pressure Feedback Sensor. Upstream hose off or plugged. And on my '97 Cobra, I'm getting P1401 code: Differential Pressure Feedback High Input. Are these EGR related? I don't have anymore explanation on the codes than that. In the case of th...

Doesn't acetone eat all the rubber fittings in your fuel system? That stuff is pretty caustic.

More pics. Once I get the rear suspension in there, I'm going to fix the stance. Right now it sights a little too high in the front. So, thanks to adjustable coil-over shock suspension I'm going to lower the front about 1", and raise the rear about 1/2". That should get it to sit perfect. http://www...

I believe they are 25.5" tall, which is the standard height for Mustang tires. Back rims are 17x10.5". I didn't do a thing with spacing, axle changes, etc. Only thing I had to do was bend the parking brake cables back some (they were rubbing) and flip the quad shocks (yes, they are still on the car!...

I personally think that is a crock of s***!! I agree. I'm still working on it. I was on a tight deadline as the emissions inspection was past due and they were going to suspend the registration. I called them though, and explained that I never got a notice to have it inspected (which I didn't), and...

Cool. I had heard that the x64 versions were having a lot of problems with programs running and drivers. I think it has improved a lot before the final release though. Would be interesting to see if CalEdit works on that version also.

But it's good to know it works on at least one type of Vista.

Very interesting. Good info to have. It looks like the turbo encabulator is very closely related to the retro-encabulator. Only difference is the retro-encabulator has a swivel-inductor made from a nano piezo dioptic phased grid array, encased in a linear encapsulated diferential transform. This pre...

Other phpBB forums have those bot-eliminator GIF files that give you a series of wacky numbers and letters that a computer couldn't easily identify but humans have a close chance of seeing. Just FYI: A9P, (ie: Fox platform EEC-IV) is 1 bank. Your '00 is probably 4 bank, which I think means you get only two tunes. Do you have a fairly new TwEECer? I just had a case of mine not working with my '97 Cobra (2 bank). I have one of the very first TwEECer RT's made, and it did not have enough ...

I'm not familiar with those, but they sound like really small turbos. They will most likely choke a 5.0L V8. T3's and T3/T4 hybrids are very common on Mustang 5.0L engines. Got any specs on them? Flow rates, inducer diameter, etc?
