Re: 2003 Mach 1 glowing header
Update on all of these issues. PATS- One of the red noise suppressor wires that go the diodes on the back of the head had a missing connector and was shorted out causing it to blow one of the big 30A fuses in the under hood box. Glowing Header- was caused by a bad IAC that was brand new. High idle i...

Re: Autologic chips
David was you able read the chip using B.E? I have a couple of old auto logic chips my buddy gave me and i could not read them. I tried B.E and tunerpro. Im not sure what software was used to read and program these chips.

2003 Mach 1 glowing header
Finally got the mach 1 started and running. Im using the FBGIO and AMZ2 bin. I have all HEGOs disabled except bank 1. That hego is showing as being Failed. Could that make the passenger side header glow red? Also this is my first mod motor car that ive tried to tune and or work on. Also its idling a...

Re: Stock 03-04 Mach 1 bin
If decipha has everything for free, feel free to hit him up for what you need. Assuming you have a quarterhorse, have you tried installing it on your mach 1 ecm and try reading the tune off the ecm? I have read off the factory tune and added the PATS to my startup tune using my quaterhorse. I have ...

Im not sure what the encrypted version youre referring is. I think ill stick with what decipha has come up with and go from there. The only reason i was wanting to look over the factory bin was for reference only.

Re: Is Lambse adjustable
So your base fuel table is the lambse that the ecu is commanding. Theyre are some variables in there that can alter a little but for the most part whatever you have your base fuel table setup as thats what the ecu will command. Its really a basic a concept that has a few complicated things driving it.

Ive used both binary editor and tunerpro. My personal choice is tunerpro. The only thing binary editor is better at is going over datalogs, in my opinion.

Re: New to BE tuning looking to get power from a 4.6 2V
Really the two major things that determine power are timing and afr. timing has the most affect while air fuel has a little affect unless youre boosted or just way on the air fuel mixture. The best way to dial in your tune is at drag strip or on a dyno or if you have draggy. So if youre at the track...

Re: Tuning the 03/04 Mach 1
So after research yesterday ive determined that im going to need to get threaded inserts that adapt m12 to m8 threads to run the newer mach style knock sensors or delete them and shut them off in the tune.

Re: Tuning the 03/04 Mach 1
Im going to follow your advise and start with everything stock except the headers and go from there. im really considering using deciphas FBGIO bin, for one i like tunerpro better than BE and hes done a lot of work to the bin help simplify things a bit.

Tuning the 03/04 Mach 1
So im in process of building a stock 4.6 4v for a mach 1. The engine will be stock except for 01 cobra cams on the intake, which are stock just a little bigger than the factory mach cams, longtube headers and a 90mm lightning MAF. What all is involved in tuning the 4v stuff? I'm used to tuning to fo...

Dialing in wot fuel
So the issue im having is when I go to wot at 1500rpm the afr goes super lean and as rpm/ mafv climbs the afr goes rich. I can post a log in a little bit. Just curious if anybody else seen this. CL fuel is dialed in up to the 2.00v range on the maf curve. What do I need to need to focus on in fixing...

Re: Tuning for long tube headers
The problem is getting the hegos to switch. The car is staying open loop because the hegos aren't switching normally. I'm thinking that their to far away from the heads and their not heating up enough or their cooling down to quick. I was thinking there was some things in the tune you can do to help...

I'm having issues with my hegos switching. I'm thinking it's because of the headers. The hegos are about 8" away from the collector. Any advice??

Re: C&l maf tuner tube
I have it epoxied on pretty good. Maf write up efidnynotuning.com said it's best to have a screen on the front and back of any meter over 3.5". That's why i put it on there. Hey i used to think the screen was on the factory maf to keep out debris only. I really didn't realize that it help straighten...

I already have the tuner tube. I put it in and it started and idled fine but i ran out gas. Lol... i pulled maf meter and put screens on both ends. Hopefully that'll help out some to. I do have a factory 80mm slot type maf. I don't have the filter adapter for it tho. And I'm wanting to put a piece o...

Re: C&l maf tuner tube
I'm starting with the fox 30# transfer. Going to try autotune. The last time i tried autotune was with the 30# sample tube. It ended up making transfer really jagged. But i may have using wrong. Ill give it another try but this time try and hold the voltages a little more steady
