David have you went on efidynotuning and looked at the maf curves decipha has? Also, ive never trusted a curve without dialing it in. Does Rod have a QH?

Re: WOT tuning, High LOAD%
But as far as the load% numbers being high, if im not mistaken, if your load% is 1.40 then that means that your load curve is off by 40% and you need to make the correction in the load curve. Load% should be 1.00 +/- a couple percent throughout the WOT pull. Load should only really affect timing and...

Re: WOT tuning, High LOAD%
Larry, i would encourage you to head over to efidynotuning.com and read Michael's write-ups on dialing in maf curve and load. Theres also a ton of info on his site about tuning in general. It helped me tremendously when i first got started. and it still helps me when i get stumped on something.

Since youre N/A you should be fine playing with the timing. Just dont go to crazy. What would you consider to be going crazy with the timing? Just curious lol.. also I have a question... if I turn the timing up on the distributor.. when I see what the timing is when i'm looking at the moates logs d...

Re: Tough to start
EDS50 brought up a good point about timing. Be sure to set your base timing at 10 degrees and advance the timing table within the tune. I dont think thats your issue but at some point it could a big issue.

Re: Tough to start
You need to make sure your mechanical idle is correct before you start messing with the IAC settings. I personally do not look at TPS voltage. The computer has a very wide voltage range that the TPS can be in. I would first start with a thorough base idle reset to see if that helps. Its very easy to...

Re: 2003 Mach 1 glowing header
Update on all of these issues. PATS- One of the red noise suppressor wires that go the diodes on the back of the head had a missing connector and was shorted out causing it to blow one of the big 30A fuses in the under hood box. Glowing Header- was caused by a bad IAC that was brand new. High idle i...

2003 Mach 1 glowing header
Finally got the mach 1 started and running. Im using the FBGIO and AMZ2 bin. I have all HEGOs disabled except bank 1. That hego is showing as being Failed. If decipha has everything for free, feel free to hit him up for what you need. Assuming you have a quarterhorse, have you tried installing it on your mach 1 ecm and try reading the tune off the ecm? I have read off the factory tune and added the PATS to my startup tune using my quaterhorse. I have ...

Re: Is Lambse adjustable
So your base fuel table is the lambse that the ecu is commanding. Theyre are some variables in there that can alter a little but for the most part whatever you have your base fuel table setup as thats what the ecu will command. Its really a basic a concept that has a few complicated things driving it.

Re: New to BE tuning looking to get power from a 4.6 2V
Really the two major things that determine power are timing and afr. timing has the most affect while air fuel has a little affect unless youre boosted or just way on the air fuel mixture. The best way to dial in your tune is at drag strip or on a dyno or if you have draggy. So if youre at the track...
