Re: No PIDs showing for my calibration when using QH
Yeah this was working around a month or two ago. Same here on my end because I am using LLX3 through their paid database and I have no datalogging PIDs. Super frustrating but I sent an email to see what's up. I know they had issues with legal iirc over the datalog PIDs so I wonder if it's a bug or s...

Re: AFR richening massively letting off throttle
Wow it's been a minute since I was on here, still having the same issue from before but it almost seems worse after mounting an intercooler and having IATs 100F cooler lol To update: I noticed the issue IMMEDIATELY goes away if I apply throttle even slightly, enough to make it stop but not enough to...

Re: AFR richening massively letting off throttle
lol just an update on silliness. ordered a JLT RAI (daily, not risking puddles) + scooped up a 90mm lmaf. issues have been resolved except pops going into gear. happening even during DFSO, 22afr, so I assume timing is dropping too low. Intake tubing was purchased not as a "throw parts at it" but bec...

Re: AFR richening massively letting off throttle
Sorry let me entirely clarify here what my setup is. It's a 96 Cobra 4v, 2.1 Kenne Bell, 60# injectors, long tubes, 255lph fuel pump, everything else stock. Running at 6psi. Tuned by ole Decipha at EFIDynoTuning but I'm trying to get some learning in to dial things in while lessening the load on him...

Re: AFR richening massively letting off throttle
What have you changed parts wise? Bigger maf and/or injectors? Stock cobra MAF, 60# siemens deka injectors, maf curve / fueling is dialed in, in terms of if we demand an AFR it will be within 5%. I'm just unsure whether or not the demanded AFRs are too rich causing the pops, the timing, or both. Pa...

AFR richening massively letting off throttle
I never know how to make a title that both doesn't clickbait and tries to describe the issue accurately lol 96 4.6 4v, CDAN4/LLX3. I've noticed if I hold throttle at half in 2nd-3rd (probably higher gear too) and quickly let off my AFR will drop to 11-12afr from 14.6. If I go 1/4 throttle then let o...

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
I see nothing about 1633 on the service data, however, I do see another value and it clearly states its MAF voltage. image.png Yeeeeeeeep not sure then, 1177 wasn't producing any data but 1633 was and it was going upwards with an increase of air appropriately. Not sure. Haven't tested it more yet. ...

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
if you tell me the stock application of the computer i can look at the service data and give you the hexadecimal string used to access Ford's PIDs on a non-dealer tool 96 Mustang 4.6 4v, CDAN4/LLX3. Looks like 1633 is MAF voltage, but it's reporting back as an integer (50-90 near idle rpm), so I as...

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
if your computer is eec-v then it should be able to read over obd2. do you have an obd2 port hooked up? If so, you just need a scan tool that displays PIDs and live data. THe Maf voltage and calculated g/s (in metric that is) both show up on my 1996 f150 kkd0 It does have the MAF calculated g/s, (I...

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
When I was using SCT Livelink software you could with pretty much any strategy I encountered. I have always used a quarterhorse with BE so I'm not 100% sure if it as the MAF AD counts available when using a Mongoose cable. Ahh I'm using an OBD2 adapter with TunerPro, probably won't drop $500 on a m...

MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
CDAN4, is it possible to datalog or simply display MAF voltage or AD count with OBD2 or is a quarterhorse / sct required? I've searched google far and wide, haven't found anything on it specifically.

Re: CDAN4/LLX3 ADX for TunerPro?
are you logging register addresses successfully in BE? ..mmm not sure lol If you have used BE logging and TP logging on the same tune file, you will have corrupted it. I had 100% forgotten to mention about BE logging working until then, my bad. Now does this mean it is corrupted the moment that BE ...

Re: CDAN4/LLX3 ADX for TunerPro?
Are ADXs typically universal for strategies e.g. CDAN4? Now that I'm back home I'll be able to review the video I took of it partially working. I'd have to do a little bit of research but I was debating on attempting my own ADX just to test datalogging ECU/Spark just as a test to see if it was the A...

Yes I've tried without inverter, with, brand new laptop, win10, win11, latest TunerPro version, and the last few recent versions. Parameters will be maxed out, every single one of them, unless I get lucky and it suddenly is working.

Re: CDAN4/LLX3 ADX for TunerPro?
Laptop is internal battery unless it's getting low so I plug charger thru power inverter in car. Only time remote access is used is WiFi, but is used for allowing tuner to check over ADX and other settings. USB cable is one that came with QH iirc. I believe I replaced it once before but I'll change ...

CDAN4/LLX3 ADX for TunerPro?
Having car remote tuned but have been having issues with getting TunerPro datalogging to work. Haven't tried another LLX3 ECU yet or another ADX for TunerPro, so I'm making this post to ask if anyone knows where I can find one to troubleshoot my datalogging issue. Retarding spark cells, best practice?
Was getting very audible pinging in 5th gear at half or higher throttle around 2k - 2.5k RPM. I believe I had some pinging during 4th around 2k as well. Obviously going to pull timing out by around 5* but I am wondering how it should be handled for adjacent cells? Is it ok to yank 5* in between two ...

Re: '97 Cobra Bank 2 Running Rich
I returned my truck to stock and flashed the SCT tune to the Cobra. It was an immediate difference. There was no more smoking and it ran great. After a few test drives I decided to test my luck and return it back to the stock tune. Same result, I solved the issue but I don't know what the actual ca...

Re: '97 Cobra Bank 2 Running Rich
I pulled the plugs (new which I replaced) and bank 2 (passenger side) plugs were fouled, bank 1 plugs still looked brand new. Re: New to Tuning/Quarterhorse Foxbody
If you want a god-like tune I'd highly, highly recommend Decipha at efidynotuning.org. He uses TunerPro RT + Quarterhorse combo for remote tuning. On my own vehicle, 96 Cobra, I noticed an instant major improvement in driveability. For good ole DIY I am a noob still but what i'd start with is: do yo...

WOT Pull: How to know if transient fueling or MAF curve is off?
CDAN4; Log of 2nd gear WOT pull. Fueling is off by quite a bit until around 3,200 RPM. How would one know if it's transient fueling problem or a MAF curve fueling problem? Typically when I go to adjust my WOT fueling I'll use the log at max TP only, wait for the fueling to match closely (as I expect...

Re: Quarterhorse + TunerPro Datalogging Issue
my guess is you are not using any of the GUFx strats I used to maintain. CDAN4/LLX3, paid database, so it's encrypted as well. And even if the logic of the relay code was the same, lets say you are datalogging 5 things that need to be relayed, TP might've ordered them differently than BE would've s...

Re: Quarterhorse + TunerPro Datalogging Issue
I used TP back before BE existed. And back when the choice was TP or CalEdit for bin-editing, there was no question that TP was the better choice. My main reason for using TP is due to the tuner I went with, and secondarily because scaling the tune seemed to be.. impossible? with BE. Fueling would ...

Re: Quarterhorse + TunerPro Datalogging Issue
No not odd, it means the QH/EEC hardware, BE and CRY are fine. The issue is with TP/XDF/ADX. Plain logic. For sure. The oddity was that it had been datalogging perfectly fine and after the one log I couldn't get it to work again, so it lead me to thinking possibility a connection issue but I will r...

Re: Quarterhorse + TunerPro Datalogging Issue
I'm unsure if it's ADX/XDF issue or not. I don't know if it's an ECU issue, J3 port issue, or what's up. I randomly tested the datalogging on TunerPro RT with the latest version and SOME values were updating but was completely wrong. e.g. long term trims showing a value of around 300. So far I've tr...

Revert back to BE and datalog with it, with tunerpro bin flashed? BE with clean BIN for BE. NO TP stuff. It will datalog with BE normally. Normally at least with the few TAGS/PIDS (whatever they call them) I use. That being the case, QH and J3 connection is fine then, it's a TP/bin/xdf/adx issue of...

Datalogs with BE but not TP. I've went into BE to both clear QH RAM and whatnot, never opened BE again, go into TP to flash bin verify and try to datalog. Same issue.
