Re: Output Shaft Limiter Stages?
4x4 output shaft limiter ,to me, sounds like it could be related either to a PTO or to the front shaft. If you have it going to fast, bad things could happen, and that RPM wont be engine RPM because of gearing and choice of tcase gear. so it may have progressive cutting of fueling or maybe it does s...

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
if its in counts it sounds like an actuator, like IAC. The value would go up with throttle even tho it isnt for idling to prevent stall on letting go and to also not be in a position to overfuel on letting go

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
to be clear, that service data is for the 4.6 DOHC not the SOHC. I assume 4v means its DOHC.

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
I see nothing about 1633 on the service data, however, I do see another value and it clearly states its MAF voltage.

if you tell me the stock application of the computer i can look at the service data and give you the hexadecimal string used to access Ford's PIDs on a non-dealer tool

Re: MAF Voltage / AD Count w/ OBD2?
if your computer is eec-v then it should be able to read over obd2. do you have an obd2 port hooked up? If so, you just need a scan tool that displays PIDs and live data. THe Maf voltage and calculated g/s (in metric that is) both show up on my 1996 f150 kkd0

Also, can you tell me more about the Throttle Rate. is it internally calculated value for a PID or is it a raw thing

Re: Is there a way to find out what exactly is contained in a factory calibration update from ford?
To my understanding, if the sensor is not present or there is shorting along the wires in the plug, what happens then? There is a 5v reference and there is a signal return I think. Are you able to screenshot or provide what it says about the knock sensor? because id like to read it if possible but i...

Re: Is there a way to find out what exactly is contained in a factory calibration update from ford?
YOU DO HAVE A KKD0 CAL? I MUST insist you determine once and for all if the 1996 eec-v 4.9 uses the knock sensor whatsoever. It came on the trucks but its common knowledge it was a dummy part by later years. I just need tl know if i would have any power to gain from repairing it And I have so many o...

Is there a way to find out what exactly is contained in a factory calibration update from ford?
My truck has the stock eec-v calibration from ford, and there IS an "updated" calibration that I could, for example, have a dealer update, but is there a way to know what is different about that update? I see no reference in the TSBs to that specific calibration update.

to my understanding the valve body and tranbs components are different on a lightning, so you would need to have that first to use that.

Re: O2 sensor question
Others are more knowledgeable with regards to the inner workings and logic flow of the EEC processor - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I believe the EEC tracks how many times the O2 sensors have switched between their "over" and "under" stoichiometric thresholds and once switching has not occ...

Id think it would be a universal thing for 3 o2 EEC-V.
Do you think grounding those wires like the other gentleman suggested would be fruitful?

Re: O2 sensor question
Okay Im going to repeat this again... I unhooked the sensors to see if running open loop would improve running(which it did), and when I did that, I noticed that my EEC-V is receiving a signal as if there were sensors hooked up. I put them on a chart(I can do this again , I have the ability to take ...

Re: O2 sensor question
Oh I don’t need to change the maf kind, the factory one is just defective and skewed The o2 I hope to put to use again I just wanted to know if the eec should see those voltages. If not, it means I need to also trace the wires back to the EEC in addition to physical replacement and new bolts on the ...

I also need a Vapor management valve, mine fails a vacuum test on a unhooked valve, so it doesn’t seal I think.

96 f150 with 4.9 i6 and e4od. OBD2 compliant
Anyway, so basically what im gathering is that seeing small voltages on all 3 "o2 sensor readings" despite only 1 of the 3 being plugged in is not cause for concern unless I pull the ADC on the 2 not plugged in to ground?

What does ADC mean? And thank you for the quick reply, that seems to correspond to what I heard from another person on another site, but they were... more grumpy and had no time to dumb things down haha. Also, I found that the heaters run off ignition-on 12v, at least from what I just read, so there...

Re: Anybody have details about the XDT2 EEC?
The 1997 PCM should have no issue identifying the cylinder misfiring as long as its OBD2 compliant because OBD2 regs require the PCMs to have more strict monitoring of catalyst-damaging misfires(misfires post a certain threshold, esp the flashing CEL kind) And the monitoring for the cylinder doing i...

O2 sensor question
When a 3 sensor obd2 vehicle has only the post-cat sensor plugged in, I should not see any feedback on the livedata for the pre-cat (each bank) O2s right? Additionally, when only the post cat sensor is plugged in, I should not see a O2 heater current value right? Or maybe there would be a value but ...

Re: Moates -- No Longer Selling Hardware
Yep, but it seems out of character from my previous interactions with Moates though still a kick in the guts for the existing user base. The chip shortage issue is a problem across all industries, so the impact of that on QH is understood. The more drastic measures don't make sense if retiring, got...

Id say. Ebay is just TRASH to search for items for. Dead ass If I go search "1996 f150 4.9 throttle position sensor" itll show up with a list of generic ads for the same exact seller but about 500 times, and then nothing else. But if I go through google, youll find almost none of those=, but junkyar...
