PSD tuning with BE/QH
Does anyone know of a source to buy 7.3/4R100 strategies for a BE/QH tuning setup? Yes, there is Hydra Chip/Minotaur tuning option, but I have two Q/H's on vehicles now and not sure if $750 for a single vehicle is worth it anymore. My '00 F250 7.3/4R100 is tuned with Delta Force and a TNAA4 strategy...

Re: Can't get a smooth idle
Look for the sea level timing table, it is used at idle and decel under a "specfic" condition (usually under 10 mph and coasting to a stop). I am sure you will see Ford used alot on timing at 1500 rpm's and below. Suggest you start around 10/12 degrees, may need as low as 5/8. Also, there is a minim...

Re: Can't get a smooth idle
While I have not looked at your tune. I have a cammed 2v that idles very well now. Datalog timing, I can almost guarantee timing is all over the place trying to stabilize the idle. I use pretty low timing below 1500 and clip the IAC air. We are talking 5/12 degrees for a mild cam like yours vs fords...

Re: 4r100 TCC Slip control
Within your screenshot I see 5 potential pids that may help you tune exactly what you want to do. Since I remove all PWM factors from TC lockup/slip and use actual psi in relationship to TPS to control shift "feel" I have no need to tune those pids. Also, I want no slippage during gear changes, that...

Re: 4r100 TCC Slip control
Open up Trans-TCctl settings in your tune. i changed the Throttle progression settings as well. Suggest comparing a stk tune to the tune you are working on and increase the numbers and try it. I found the best to learn is make a change and see if it does what you want or not. I have my diesel truck ...

Re: 4r100 TCC Slip control
I just had a thought, are you adjusting the converter mph lock up points in the tune? interesting read at https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threads/ ... od.204165/

Re: 4r100 TCC Slip control
I installed this Transgo 4R100 LU, which eliminates PWM of the converter lock up. Mine is locked or unlocked, "no" slip per se. I also use only billet triple disc lockup clutch converters. So, now its a matter of is there a PID in your strategy that controls the Pulse Width Modulation? Let me pull u...

Re: 4r100 TCC Slip control
Question, what are you using to tune with? Do you not have PID's for full transmission control? I remove all torque management from my tunes, but I have extra clutches in all drums and overdrive clutches as well, Transgo Tugger kit, pressure boost valve and some internal pump mods. Shift pressures a...

Re: WOT fuel needing extreme adjustment?
Its not unheard of having to make a large wholesale change to a MAF curve - I have had to do a 30% + change. Verify your injector setting are accurate and from a very reliable source. There is a lot of misinformation out there. Better to be slightly too rich vs lean. Give the engine what it wants af...

Re: Dies when shifting into reverse, drive, or park
Have you done a base idle reset? There is a write up on the forum. Will the engine idle with IAC unplugged and sprout connector pulled in gear? if not idle speed screw is not set correctly and is needs to be raised. Are you datalogging spark and IAC duty cycle percentage, ideally IAC should be aroun...

Re: Accel/TFX/Holley injector data
Holley provided the injector info. Just as an FYI the low impedance driver circuit reacts very differently between 13-14 volts. There is an additional delay (expressed via battery offset values). Progressive numbers don't work correctly and with the correct spec's and explanation of why, part thrott...

Accel/TFX/Holley injector data
Does anyone have battery offsets, min pw etc.... data for 96lb low impedance injectors. They are actually Lucas/Delphi injectors rebranded as Accel, TFX, Fast or Holley please. I have spent a couple hours and only High Impedance injector data seems to be published.
Thx!

Turbo anti lag using ACT temp switch
Has anyone experimented with wiring into ACT circuit, applying a "specifc" resistance and tune ACT spark retard table to coincide with minus temperature reading via a switched resistance circuit? I see that HP tuner based LS "tuners" have done it and some import diy "tuners" have done it. It should ...
