Re: Cold Start swings lean after 30 secs

In a GUFB strategy, the tables for startup are FN1306 and FN1307. FN1306 is a subtractor from FN1307 and times out at 45 sec into the run. FN1307 is the table the ECU uses for open loop running which includes WOT. This will also expire when the ECU switches to closed loop fueling. As I have recently...

JuiceSC,

Thank you for your assistance over the past year. It's been fun and VERY educational. Here's a pic of the last log. I thought you might like to see it.

JuiceSC,

Take a close look at this log, 42v3. This was number 6 log for the town trip and the final for the day, town to home.

JuiceSC, here's the files. 42v2_Initial.7z 42v2_Cruise.7z 42v2_WarmStart.7z Awaiting your opinion but I do believe there's very little needed to complete this project. I did notice the timing difference in the log while driving but not anything to really draw attention to. As for the injector offset...

Re: WOT tuning, High LOAD%

JuiceSC, I followed your instructions, loaded the bin, then started. Of course I logged it and have included it here. As you predicted, the initial start was pretty fair and butt-o-meter didn't alarm. I had cause to run to town so I logged the trip with several stops. I have included the return log ...

Re: WOT tuning, High LOAD%

JuiceSC, I probably let it exit OL before taking off and compare that startup to the warm idle also. It seems like my combo typically runs in the mid 30's in LOADX. It is likely due to the cam. I sometimes note LOADX in the very high 20's, like 28 or 29, but that doesn't happen very often. That may ...

JuiceSC, As you may have noticed, I haven't been very active lately but I'm not dead! I have been otherwise occupied but have found a minute here and there to play with the car. To start, back a few months ago while fighting with the AC and the overheating problem, I changed the thermostat to a 180 ...

I'm happy you figured out the problem. I was about to say, I've installed a number of E cams, raced with a group of people with this cam and never had this problem. Happy to hear, sorry about your ECM.

Re: Should N match DSDRPM?

I don't know if I can explain this totally but I'm finding that the closer my fueling is the closer to following DSDRPM the N line gets. Another factor/hiccup I see is the scaling. Sometimes the two lines are separated from each other, other times they are extremely close or on top of each other. Ho...

Re: Lean cool/warm idle, open loop, FN301?

Just a thought... have you looked at FN1306? The temp range you describe operates, for the most part, in a timed event at startup. Look at OLMTD1 or TKDTM for time settings. FN1306 times out at 45 sec in A9L factory settings. FN1306 works in conjunction with FN1307 as an adder or subtractor. FN1306 ...

I REALLY want to get back into the subject that this thread was started for but I having trouble with the "can't win for loosing" phrase! Re: A/C idle vs part throttle, IAC duty cycle

Odrapnew, "transistor"... first, as I have come to understand, Pin 55 is the location for a connection for the transistor. However, as I understand the situation, there needs to be support hardware on the ECU board to support the connection to Pin 55. I would have done this also but haven't taken th...

I wanted to let those involved with this thread know that I've had, what seems to be, a never ending problem with the overheating issue. Consequently, I haven't been back to this for a while. I replaced the entire cooling system (rad, fan clutch, water pump and thermostat) and the stat was the only ...

Electric fan control with A9L question

This may not be the appropriate forum for this but it's a start. If not, maybe Chris will move it for me. Re: Does no clutch switch effect tune

I'm not sure this helps or not but I have my switch harness shorted at the connector so I don't have to press the clutch when starting. I just removed the harness plug from the switch and installed a small jumper into the connector. Perhaps if you try this it may cure the problem or lead you to a di...

Re: A/C idle vs part throttle, IAC duty cycle

Since the AC install, I'm having an issue with KAMRF adding fuel at idle to the tune of 4% at times. I haven't spent any time trying to correct this issue due to the overheating AND the fact my WB took a crap... AGAIN! These problems are a fix in progress! I replaced the fan clutch with a Hayden #27...

Ordrapnew, Thanks for your help! The DACPPM and ACPPM are both set at 0.0498 lb/min which appears to be a stock calibration. I will try your suggestion and see how it works out. BTW, in another log I noticed, while on cruise control, the additional load from the AC has a smoothing effect, meaning th...

Re: A/C idle vs part throttle, IAC duty cycle

Odrapnew, Thank you for your comments and pointers. I will try some of this today. One comment really puzzled me. Correcting AC OFF first will help get A/C ON closer, so the 0.2282 value will likely decrease. Where did you come up with this number? I'm lost! EDIT: Never mind... I just didn't read it...

I'm seeking recommendations for a reliable Wide Band O2 gauge system which can be utilized with BE. The current unit I have has failed again, so I'm ready to move on.

I tried logging into this site a bit ago and Chrome wouldn't let me. I reset the date on this PC to yesterday and that's why I'm here now. Something about a certificate.... I think.
