Re: Ecu interchangeability
Okay so I got my hands on the DIX0 ecu, It may be a dumb question, but can I just disconnect the battery, take the harness off the one in the truck and just dangle the spare ecu to test it? Or should it be 100% installed for any reason. Again, I know it may be a stupid question. Also is there anythi...

Would YEA1 (smd-221) be a suitable replacement for the TIP1 with Tweecer?

Ecu interchangeability
Hey all! Please move this if this is the incorrect place. I have a 95 bronco 5.0 maf, e4od, auto t case. I have come to find lately that major components such as ecus, are hard to locate. My truck has a tip1 in it and I happened upon a very clean truck with a hug0 ecu in it. 1995 5.0 maf, auto trans...

Re: Talk to me like I’m new
Thanks guys, I guess I just didn’t know what to expect as far as should I be ok with the stock tune etc, I’m gonna go back in and see if something blew off or if I have a vacuum leak and report back. I really just want to bump the fuel up a little if possible and leave it alone beside the shift poin...

Re: Talk to me like I’m new
I unfortunately do not have the ability to datalog. I have a simple wideband setup to see on the fly(not optimal I know) but what I have to do here in ca unfortunately. I had 24lb injectors previously but I am getting out of the smog field and need a “legal” setup. I also forgot to add that I have a...

Re: Talk to me like I’m new
So I did some digging and found a small rotted vacuum cap that I replaced and am clearing the kam. What are the limitations of the scalars for 19lb injectors, I don’t want to cook anything. May be time to tweak a few other things if it’s still lean

Re: Talk to me like I’m new
So when I started it on the stock tune is was hovering around 20:1 so I adjusted the injector slopes a bit and was able to get it to 15.3 ish is that close enough I’m just not sure how far I should tweak just that to get closer to 14.7

Re: Talk to me like I’m new
Yeah the motor is already built I’m just swapping injectors for a few different reasons. My build isn’t near wild so I figure maybe tweak it to squirt a little more fuel and play around with spark just a tad

Talk to me like I’m new
So I recently learned that a lot of what I thought I knew about tuning is wrong. And I’d like to start anew with some insight. So here’s what I have and need advice on: 1995 bronco maf 5.0 Rebuilt and bored to 306 Edlebrock rpm performer heads Shorty headers 56mm throttle body New accel 19lb injecto...

Re: Tuning my 5.0
They were used injectors. I’ve been a little suspicious of them. But seemed to have more power before. I think it’s in my tune somewhere but I don’t know enough about it, or care enough for that matter to be honest. I just want it reliable at this point and if I can just push the scalars to where I ...

Tuning my 5.0
Hey everybody, I’ve got some questions regarding my set up on which I will go into detail. 1995 ford bronco 5.0 MAF, It’s a 306 with clearanced pistons, edelbrock heads, shorty headers, and a 56 mm throttle body. Nothing wild. At the time I had it built I didn’t know much and the builder recommended...

Tweecer substitute
Hey all, I currently run a Tweecer on my 95 bronco maf 5.0 with VEX1 strategy (TIP1 stock code). Wondering if there is another option as far as hardware goes that would be compatible. Looked into the sct 6600 eliminator but the claim it’s not compatible but not sure how true that is. Anyone have any...

Re: Injector scalars
So I’ve been busy as heck and finally got back around to tuning. I use a Tweecer and this is the format I found but don’t understand Multiply injector slopes by 3600. The breakpoint is 2.219 So I was just about to change the breakpoint and slopes on the Tweecer, (stock tip1 breakpoint is 0.000149) ...

Hey guys, I installed 24lb injectors in place of my 19 lb ones on my 95 bronco 5.0, i know I should adjust my breakpoint and probably my minimum pulse width as well correct? Is there any kind of starting parameters for the swap? Thanks guys! I’m really new to this, really sorry if this is a dumb que...

Re: Hi everyone!
Good morning! Trans is E4OD, and it’s a ca truck so it’s got the MAF system. TIP1 is the catch code on my ecu, I’m not sure if VEX1 is a ford thing or just a Tweecer/BE thing to be honest, but it’s the strategy I use that closest resembles the TIP1. I’m looking at a picture of my ecu and can’t tell ...
