Re: Is This "Spark Blowout" - Or Something else??

The charging system is fine (usually hovers in between 13.6 - 14.1) the dip is when the car cuts out and it's sitting on battery voltage. I'll look into the fueling (I have a 190 in-tank and a T-rex ). I'll also look into the fuel filter (can't remember if I changed it when I started building the ca...

Is This "Spark Blowout" - Or Something else??

Hello Community, Looking for some help with an issue I'm experiencing. The car/set-up is a 95 GT -CBAZA T4M0 Quarter Horse. Using Tuner Pro to write/Data Log for now. Plan to buy a Netbook (of some sort) to keep in the car and purchase a copy of BE since he locks the registration to a specific compu...

Re: Remove Timing vs Richer Commanded A/F ratio?

pinging is timing, pull out timing if its pinging minimum i yank is at least 4 degrees fn017 is the scaling for various spark adder tables, you don't usually need to mess with it, in fact i don't even use it on my personal vehicle I'm only using the Spark Borderline and Spark Altitude tables. The o...

Remove Timing vs Richer Commanded A/F ratio?

I'm still "trying" to get a handle on this tuning via Moates QuarterHorse, so bare with me as I try to ask for help (I say "try" because I may not be going about it the correct way). My set-up is a 95 GT (CBAZA strat) DSS 308, Stock cam, AFR 165 heads, GT 40 U/L, 42# injectors, Pro-M Blow-Thru with ...

Re: MAF scalers

i rev her at each mafv and start creating the flow from there, i demand 14.64 and target right at or slightly above it ( 14.6-14.8 ) ... i usually create a transfer damn near perfect in less than 20 minutes When you say target 14.6 -14.8 ... are you making an educated guess and placing those values...

Re: O/L Too Rich -- C/L Too Lean ... Same Tune

I would straighten out open loop first. Assuming you have everything setup for your injectors and fuel, then it looks like your MAF curve is too rich. In order to cut out all the trial & error tuning of the current Pro-M in O/L tuning (I don't have a flow sheet for it and the curve from EA for it m...

Re: O/L Too Rich -- C/L Too Lean ... Same Tune

Not sure if anyone is reading this but I'll update it for the sake of posterity. Took a bit of timing out and changed the TPS O/L break point to 2.65 to see if that would help. Now if I "slam" the pedal down, the A/F ratio drops quickly. But if I simply roll into it (which is how it's driven 90% of ...

O/L Too Rich -- C/L Too Lean ... Same Tune

I have a 95 GT with the following: 308, Stock cam, AFR165's, GT40 U/L, 42# Injectors, 70mm TB, Pro-M 3" Blow Thru (also have BA2400, early one with Granetelli marked on it) and a B&G Turbo kit with a T64 hair dryer and a T-5 tranny. For tuning, I currently have Q/H 1.6, CBAZA T4M0 (using J4j1 bin). ...

Re: Buying EA and BE, Questions..

The answer is... In the case of WBs that BE supports datalogging ...If you datalog them through the EGR, then these fall into the same category as any other input coming in through the EVP sensor input. Does that make sense? Perfect sense. I have no plans or interest in buying a DataQ or what have ...

Re: Buying EA and BE, Questions..

My question sits along these same lines.
I'm using an Autometer Wide Band ... Do I not choose a logger at all (when purchasing software) or is there a specific one the corresponds close enough to the Autometer?

Re: How to connect an Autometer wideband to the Quarterhorse

Okay, I just did a "search" for this very topic (hooking up an Auto Meter wideband) I'm a tad bit confused ...
With the Auto Meter Wide band, do you use the Blue wire to the EGR (or EVP) ... or do I hook the Blue with Black stripe to the EGR (or EVP)?

Pulling a Tune from a JMS SuperChip???

Hi guys, Been a while since I've visited/posted and I'm sure that this info/query of mine has been covered (I'm sure I've seen it before but my search terms didn't render the desired results.) I just picked up another 95 GT with a few mods (Cartech Kit on it) and it has a "Superchips" installed. I'm...

Is there a way can I find what EEC (A9L,A3M etc..) I have??

Before you jump on me for such a basic question LOL, hear (or read) me out. I bought a computer from O'Reilly autoparts quite a few years back. It was simply painted black and thus easy to find out what type it was by scratching off the paint around the EEC connector to reveal the type (I got...

Anyone using the C&L 85mm Tuner Meter?

Looking for a new meter. Seems next to impossible to find/catch a Pro-M cal'd for 42's and blow thru with a flow sheet, at a price I can afford :p THIS LINK I found and the C&L Home Page are the same. The price is right (CoolBlue has them for $199), 1215 cfm is awesome and the fact that it comes wit...

I've been diddling around with the twEECer (I picked it up from Mike on yesterday) all morning. I believe (could be wrong which is why I'm posting) the unit is not functioning properly. Here's what has been happening: When first clicking on Calibrator shortcut it pops up a window saying "invalid or ...
