Re: A/C Issue

you are obviously missing the request if it is not switching bit.

over riding it by changing the bit, does NOT mean the request circuit is good, only the command

Re: No base idle timing adjustment?

you have to log, and find the cause

most likely it needs more pre position, hard to say with a cam, without logging

as for timing, you give it what it needs

spark is used to control target idle speed, by an error correction multiplier

this has to work in concert with the IAC airflow

Re: LTFT and KAMRF Speed density log problem

the function of the LTFT is to keep short term, near 0

is the short term moving?

short term is driven by the ECM via the lambse, are those changing continuously?

Re: No base idle timing adjustment?

why aren't you asking your tuner about these concerns?

idle control is NOT as easy as inputting a idle speed, doesn't work that way.

desired idle speed is changing, depending on changing conditions the engine is experiencing.

Re: RPM dip/stall after neutral throttle snap

have you adjusted the rpm error/spark function?

if you have another belt driven load like a supercharger, reducing the amount of spark correction may help, did for me

Re: RPM dip/stall after neutral throttle snap

you should be looking at what state the PCM perceives the engine is at during the snap I am not familiar with your calibration but i know the state dictates how the IAC and spark are you used to decay RPM when you snap, and the state does NOT go into pre position, the PCM will close IAC and drop spa...

Indy, you are correct, I am set up a bit richt the tune
at idle. It seems to like it. I can set it for any AFR/Lambda I desire. I am doing the tuning.
If you go lean on engine increased acceleration, you will misfire, it has to go rich

O2 reads .873 at warm idle
drops to .220 when snapping to WOT

your idle needs to swing from 0-1volt many times a second, unless you are forced open loop

you have a fuel delivery problem.........

pump, reg, inj..........etc

Re: MAF quit reading above 3.4v

No argument to your logic, I was thinking a broke valve spring But can find no evidence upon inspection. Originally I thought the ignition, every piece of that has been changed, everything . I am now focusing on voltage drop at high RPM's. Alt has been swapped,,No change . still looking and thinkin...

Re: MAF quit reading above 3.4v

Your Maf only measures air mass entering the intake.

If your engine is hurt and cannot ingest more air, your maf is not the issue.

misfires, will cause all sorts of load spikes, and that data cannot be relied on.

I suggest you verify your base engine first.

Re: CDAN4 STFT incredibly high

have you looked at your 02 voltages?

short term driven around stoich, your 02s are NOT reporting any voltage

ofcourse trims will go rich, that is by design

you better proof the 02s before doing a silly force OL

jbirken, I do not remember my logic, but with the GUFB and numerous hours I was able to tame the de-clutch stall, I wrote it down somewhere in my log books. Suffice to say, my stalling was a combination of events, higher load at idle, due to the kenne bell, then a/c loads cycling, then E-fan alt loa...
