Re: Blow through meter on n/a engine

This is an interesting take and not without its merit. But it's probably not enough just to say it's the wrong tool for the job "trust me", then leave it at that. Some explanation might be in order. What, specifically, makes it a bad choice? Simply being a blow-thru capable MAF doesn't, by itself, ...

Re: Blow through meter on n/a engine

I always recommend to use the correct components required by the combination being utilized. Using a blow thru meter now is not a future proof as some supercharger combinations require draw thru meters, some blow thru and most but not all turbo set ups require blow thru. Some even choose to switch t...

Re: Blow through meter on n/a engine

What is the purpose or benefit of running a blow thru meter in an N/A environment? You will not have the volume of air a blow thru meter is expecting sampled by the sample tube or housing created by an turbo/supercharger. Even the 03/04 cobras are draw thru from the factory. Im not saying it wont wo...

I would be interested in the tps is functionality. Any abnormal behavior? I would verify with a dvm and performing a sweep test or just turning the key on and activate the datalogger and step on the gas pedal and make sure you have full function from closed throttle to wide open throttle. I would al...

Re: tuning with QH and tuner pro for idle surge and bad idle

You are not going to find much if any help with hack a9l2 .bin and tunerpro here. Since you got little if any help from the other site from the creator of the a9l2; you may want to reconsider and restart your tuning efforts with a stock a9l .bin and maybe look into Binary Editor. You should be able ...

I noticed your battery voltage is lower than I would be comfortable with. This would also affect your fueling which can be fine tuned with fn367.

More Hz in would be handy at times.

Hz in would be ideal for the tailshaft speed.
Do you think the onboard accelerometer which is advertised @ 50 hertz be adequate to use? I also see it has 1 channel for wheel/driveshaft speed built in.

Re: Trouble data logging wideband through DPFE

I like it a lot. I'd run more than one with the QH if it were possible. I have AFR to the EEC at the moment. Adding fuel pressure to the EEC as well, with the intention of revising code for engine safety. The SL gets inputs changed depending on what I'm playing with. Working on adding Oil pressure,...

Yes sir. How do you like using it? I have mine set up with BT and I log AFR, Boost and Fuel Pressure with the SL and have my BE dashboard to display and log all 3 plus logging another afr channel through the evp port.

Re: Trouble data logging wideband through DPFE

I haven't looked at my SL in quite some time. But I'm wondering if maybe the version of firmware inside it might be related to why I'm not able to datalog it in realtime from BE. If I could get it to do that, it really would be a great option for auxiliary analog input monitoring. I don't know if i...

Re: craj0 xdf anyone have any of the common parameter addresses?

Are you using the custom CRAJ0 xdf that uses a custom adx made by Decipha? They need to be used together using TunerPro IF he supports his own work. I dont think you can successfully mix xdf/.bins with adx/strategies. xdf/adx or .bin/strategy should be used depending on the tuning software. What are...

Re: Hot Start and Restart Problems

Ah yes, I see the difference. There has to be a tray or pocket of somesort the fuel pump sits in. You should have no issue running the fuel level down past 1/8th tank without any sloshing issues. I expect that behavior with a sump tank or stock tank with a broken fuel tray/pocket. Maybe your fuel pu...

Re: Hot Start and Restart Problems

It's the stock Ranger sending unit. I don't know how similar they are to Mustang's sending unit. I do know I cannot let the fuel level get below 1/4. The 255lph pump will pull air if I take a tight turn or slam on brakes and the fuel level is low. So I've just learned to refuel when the needle gets...

I updated my response above with an image of what my in-tank sending unit looks like. I see that now. Interesting design. I'm wondering if you could switch over to a Mustang tank. That would most likely fix your problem. I'm sure the Ranger engineers never anticipated a 255lph pump to be used in th...

Re: Hot Start and Restart Problems

Have you tried opening the gas cap to see if there is any built up pressure when you experience this issue? Could be vapor lock. Is your fuel pump hanger the same as a stock fox body Mustang hanger? The tank vents into the stock carbon canister. I guess it's possible the tube is blocked. Although I...
