Manifold Volume in CBAZA
For a long time I have periodically been chasing a minor problem of a short stumble whenever I pressed the throttle. Suspecting I needed to fine tune the Manifold Volume scalar I set up 4 tunes to load to TwEECer in the 4 open switch positions. All of the tunes were identical except that they each h...

That's the way my car acted when I pegged the meter. It was like someone reached over and turned the key off at 4500 RPM.

I am very sorry guys. Look at the bottom status bar and it will most likely be red in color. There is a drop down next to it the holds the last 10 activities that BE has done. Re: Trouble Datalogging BE Build 12 (File date for latest CB
There is another person having the same issue. He has the tweecer and the dataq. I was able to login to this PC and duplicate it. It happens when he uses the DataQ and Tweecer at the same time. I was able to log each one individually with no errors. I then tried both at the same time and it just lo...

The status bar across the top says "Binary editor 2010" with my name. Under the "Info" button it shows build 12 dated July 3, 2010. BTW, this might be a clue too - most of the help .pdf files say they are missing when I click them. I have the latest Adobe reader loaded.

Trouble Datalogging BE Build 12 (File date for latest CBAZA
Clint, I only found one check box, "enable dataog" which is checked. There is no check box for "auto start" but there is a button which you can use to set a trigger. When I click it I get a dialog box and "triggered start" is not enabled. I've tried everything I know to do at this point. It acts lik...

Yeah, I got it from sailorbob too and turned it on today. But now I'm not able to data log with either the .xls or the .cry CBAZA files. It logs one entry and stops. I guess I'll search, it's been months since I have logged and maybe there is something else I need to update.

Re: O/L and C/L fueling?
I suppose there could be several approaches but I have always liked tuning as much of the curve as I can using CL. Then I set the high end of the curve in OL and use the wide band for WOT OL. Then its a matter of looking at the curve and smoothing it.

Welcome back Jon!! I've been using an R302 block, heavy but very strong. However, it has siamesed cylinders and it is easier to overheat unless you have a big radiator. In addition, it needed special cam bearings to allow me to use standard journal sized cams. I'm partial to Ford parts because I thi...

Re: A clue about light-load bucking
IMO spark can contribute to bucking, but playing with spark control will never totally solve it. I'm in the ISC and lean mix camps when it comes to the total solution. In fact I think if fuel is correct and no bucking is occuring you would have a hard time inducing bucking by changing spark control ...

The low end of the MAF curve air values need to be increased. 42 and 50 should work. As an aside I have my high and low slopes set to the same value as Ford did with the Cobra tunes.

Re: surging idle on start/warm up
Have a look at PID 1361, "Fuel - Open Loop Startup Table". Try reducing the values in the table in the 0-20 second rows and the 0 - 60 degree columns by 10% and see if this improves it. I've never found a really scientific way to sort this startup area out other than trial and error.
