Re: BE2012 datalogs corrupted
I would rather not do that for the simple reason i dont want to cover up an issue that may be happening. For example if the logging is getting bogged down for some reason and it is skipping data then i would rather see that in the log rather than see choppy looking data that looks good to most peop...

I couldn't agree more Travis. I have never had better customer service for ANY product. He has been remoted on my laptop all hours of the day and night, weekends, doesn't matter. He will get you taken care of as soon as he can. And when he is done, he doesn't leave you feeling like an idiot. (even w...

Re: 94 Mustang injector firing?
Engine has had a couple sets of new plus during it's short life. It's getting another full set tomorrow, and a few injectors rotated to a new spot to see what happens. I was not amazed at all to find six highly carbon fouled plugs. The surprise was the two that looked like new out of the box. Just a...

94 Mustang injector firing?
94 5.0 HO is sequentialfue injection right? I know I am being lazy for not researching that. But while you are here ............. New 347 is running a little inconsistent lately. Ran just incredible last weekend and suddenly seems very rich. Pulled the plugs today. Six of them sooted up bad as...

Re: Lost 3 mph off my ¼ mile time since tuning :surprised:
Really hard to comment without a lot more details. Do you know what your WOT AFR was before and after tune? You lost a few horses if the trap speed dropped and everything else was about the same. It's a guess though until you have some track experience. Different shift points etc could have accounte...

Re: Cardone Remanu'd ECM. Review.
Just received my REMAN Cardone ordered online from Autozone online. Not a Cardone fan as I have seen "rebuilt" distributors that did not have a new pickup coil. More reputable brands at a reasonable price were not available when I tried to buy my T4M0. I think the case has been glass bead blasted. T...

Re: High compression engines and stock starters
Chris I was skeptical too with my new build. I think there is a very good chance the "mini" starter will work OK for you if it is sound. I am running stock starter with 11-1 static CR on my 94 Stang 347. Engine is fresh and tight. Don't know my dynamic CR but I have about 165# on the compression gua...

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
I understand most of what you are saying. (Because I own 2 LC1s, 3 WB sensors for them, and 2 guages). I have been through this procedure with Innovate tech support and others so I am good on the free air clc procedure. Where you are losing me though is why you would think instrument malfunction for...

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
You'll have to show me some PICs of your stang sometime, it sounds like it was quite a project. I was very motivated to tune this thing myself, and have done a lot of homework readings on this forum. What I didn't need on my first tune was this O2 drama. Work almost right for 2 minutes, then not at ...

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
Here is the pinout for my car. http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/94-95_5.0_EEC_Wiring_Diagram.gif The red/blk wire that comes off the LS HEGO and goes to PCM pin 43 is hurt. It's been hot at some point and probably shorted to ground. Guessing it's header damage because it was unde...

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
Where were your WB readings at during this. Pegged in opposite directions is odd and would make me think wiring even more. Maybe something is grounding out. I think you would be able to tell by how it is running, .03 is very low voltage, and pegged above 1 is very high. Do the wiring tests from that...

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
I definitely have issues that is not the O2 sensor itself. Just datalogged 5 miles of driving with the O2s doing nothing for minutes at a time.
HEGO 1- .03 or less
HEGO 2- 1.xxx, consistently over 1V
Starting to wonder if my PCM has issues?

Re: Diagnosing HEGOs
Is the car reading stoich in open loop? If it were me, if you haven't already, I would move the wideband to the other side to get a base line for both sides. Then start troubleshooting. As I mentioned earlier, the WB isn't playing either. It runs through it's initialization routine of displaying fu...

Re: Which tuning HW? TwEECer, QH, or MS?
Consider the following advice is from a new tuner. Expert I am not, but I probably represent the typical first time buyer of tuning devices. Can only comment on TwEECer vs QH. Sold my TwEECer a couple months ago and bought a QH. If I lost anything in the swap I don't know what it was. -Expensive TwE...

Installed new HEGO 1 and wrapped the collector. No meaningful difference in O2 readings so it is something else. I'll keep at it.

Just loaded your tune adjustment and took it for the first ride. Didn't think I would need to heat up the drag radials. I was wrong. Throttle is just a little touchy lol. No kidding put it sideways on a 2-3 shift at only 4k. Guess I better put the license plates back on it before the next ride. This...

Just lost a long response to your post Teabaggins! Appreciate the advice and will answer in more detail after work. WB pegs lean as well and mounted on HEGO 1 side a few inches back. I think I have a new WB O2 sensor for it so I could try that.

Diagnosing HEGOs
I have done some searching and reading so I did flip the HEGOs already and the problem does not follow the O2 sensor to the other side. 1 and 2 read exactly the same with the sensors flipped. HEGO 1 camps out at .04-.05 from cold start to 200 degrees. It will only switch if I nail the throttle and t...

What Adam said absolutely "should" work. I was having problems before I sold my TWEECER a couple days ago and went QH. I was having problems with some of my parametersnot loading when I wrote the payload. Sometimes it took several writes to get the datalog to grab 100% of what I selected. It seemed ...

That was my first reaction when I saw it wired there. I'll be running a wire from the fuseblock if the radio wire gives me any guage trouble.decipha wrote:the blower motor gets fed from a resistor pack for variable speed!!!

Re: Electronic "backfeeds" through guages
I'll try some of your suggestions Chris. And to clarify, the only thing the toggle switches run are nitrous. All guages and other instruments are wired through "ignition switched" power, as they should be of course. The source is probably a wire originally intended for the radio, but I am not certai...
