I am doing a 1986 mustang to 1996 f150 pcm conversion. this i know has been done many times and i have a few questions about.
such as, is it necessary to provide power to all pins in the 96 pcm ? how about all grounds? does the pin (#49 listed as CKP ) same as PIP?
any words of wisdom please???

Re: 86 to 96 conversion pinout
I have literally never heard of a single person doing an EEC-V conversion on a Foxbody before. I really don't see what you expect to gain with this conversion.
All power and ground pins need to be hooked up. CKP is not the same as PIP. CKP for the crank sensor, which your engine doesn't have.

Re: 86 to 96 conversion pinout
the advantage is
better faster processor, on board data logging , and a future of unlimited upgrades, simple programmer hook ups, ( no flakey QH and chips), and its 10 years tech-know newer. in will be MAF of course and that opens lots of doors over SD
