Is a EGR Eliminator Plug necessary?
I have a 1965 with a 1990 5.0 efi. I've removed the EGR valve & spacer. Is it necessary to use an EGR Eliminator Plug (ex:LMR product# LRS-9428A EP) to keep the computer running properly?

Re: Is a EGR Eliminator Plug necessary?
No. With the computer not using the position sensor or trying to control the actuator, there's no need for any kind of fooling-device.
Those are only necessary when you have to run the stock tune and you don't want the computer to know you've deleted stuff since that logic would be active on a stock tune. When you are forced to use the stock tune to conform to some racing regulation, then you have to use stuff like this along with a MAF calibrated to your injectors in order to fool the computer into running the engine while it believes you still have stock injectors.
