Hello.
This is my first time here, I am very happy to have found this forum.
I have two Mustang 5.0 EFI harnesses, one 1991 5.0/AOD and one 1992 5.0 T-5.
I want to convert the 92 harness to stand alone use in a non EFI car starting with identifying exactly which sensors and wiring I can delete from the OEM harness. I did several searches here but did not find a related thread on this topic.
I have found several videos on Youtube but none of them clearly list 100% of what can be deleted.
Can anyone here point me in the right direction?
Thank you!
Gregg

Re: How to? 92 Mustang EFI harness to stand alone
PS pressure, AC control, possibly MAF and trans plugs. If you're not plugging into an existing harness, you will need to have extra gauges for voltage, water and oil status
1990 Ford Ranger FLH2 conversion. Ford forged/dished pistons, Total Seal file-fit rings, Clevite rod and main bearings, Clevite cam bearings, IHI turbo, Siemens Deka 60lb/hr injectors, Ford slot MAF in custom 3" housing. Moates Quarterhorse with Binary Editor, using the PAAD6 database.

Re: How to? 92 Mustang EFI harness to stand alone
I have a lot to learn.
I thought the EFI harness only had engine and emission sensor connections.
I didn't realize there were PS and AC connections in the harness that went back to the EEC.
The vehicle I'm planning on converting is a 1986 Ranger. It was a 2.0 carbureted engine but did have a engine control box in the passenger kick panel so it has the typical 60 pin shaped hole in the fire wall for the wiring grommet. I think the box was just for emission control. It is a very base truck and didn't even come equipped with a radio.
I have a 5.0, T-5 and harness from a 1992 Mustang that I parted out. The engine/trans are in the truck now.
I need to find a schematic for the 1992 GT harness.
Thanks for your help and any other advice.
