won't read eec

Post by strawberry91lx » Sun Feb 06, 2005 10:27 am

Just got my TwEECer RT and even though my car is in pieces I had to play with it. I can read/write TwEECer but when I read EEC I get all zero's. The engine is out of the car so I cannot start it and see if the EEC is dead but it was running when it was parked. I have throughly cleaned the connection. Do any of you eec wizards have any ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

You have the EEC out of the car and connected to the tweecer & pc/laptop? Do you have the bank count set to 1 and strategy set to A9L?? The A9L is a single bank processor and if the strategy is not set correctly, it is possible for it to display all zero's.
Best regards,
