software installation.....

Post by chrisp » Mon Jun 16, 2003 1:20 pm

Hey guys. I'm new to the tweecer site and just picked up a second hand unit for use with my 94. (Its the old LPT style one.) I am very anxious to start tuning, and in an attempt to familiarize myself with the programs, I went ahead and downloaded the cal edit, cal con and BDE, along with the manual.

As I said I just purchased the used unit, I have not received it as of yet. After downloading and installing this software I noticed that when I try to open the A9L calibration file, (apparently the default???) I get an error stating that the file can not be opened. I can click ok and get rid of the message, but then when I try to access the functions or tables tab, I get another error stating that the table name property is missing.

I have tried to download the programs on two different machines, one with XP and the other 2000. The XP machine said there was not enough room on my 40gig hard drive (I am used to problems with XP), 2000 accepted the programs flawlessly so thats not a big issue.........

I would like to know........

1.) if anyone has experienced similar issues?

2.) Have I just jumped the gun and need to actually have the twEECer installed in order to access these tabs?

3.) Is there anything I will need to know that is not available here on the twEECer site relative to the LPT version? Where can I get this info?

4.) Mike, how much to upgrade to a USB RT version?

My buddy plans to pick up a new RT for his blower car and would like to learn from the experience with mine. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Go to the Yahoo group files section and under updates there are two new DAT files for the A9L and A9M, put these into your data subdirectory under STKR.

Good Luck, Don
