widebands /tweecer/dataq

Post by BongoBob » Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:07 pm

Greetings all ! I need to hook a wideband to my tweecer . Do I need one with a gage or just a sensor with a harness ? I have an aem 4100 and I think the gage is no good .I also have a dataq unit to plug into the comport on the laptop . I 'm going to re read the dataq instructions .And see if I can figure it out . Had some sort of data mismatch or comport mismatch last time

If your wideband has an analog output and you are not using EGR, you can hook the widebands analog out to the EVP sensor wire and datalog it with your tweecer.

most widebands use the gauge as the controller, be sure to get one with a digital numeric gauge and not an analog sweeping needle those are less accurate

I usually recommend throwing the gauge in the glove box that way its there if you need it and its out of the way to not be conspicuous

Got it all figured out , hooked up and working not so sure it's correct . But it smells like it ....Rich! The gauge says 12.5 at idle the output to the tweecer reads .25v in calcon . I found some generic charts for voltage vs afr . It looks close on the chart + the sensor has been in the exhaust and not working could be sooted up . I'll try again tomorrow and actually write down the readings . Or did I set it up wrong and the readout in calcon is supposed read af ratio ?? Thanks again Bob
