Quarterhorse battery repair

Post by Kingfish999 » Sun Feb 19, 2017 11:33 pm

my Quarterhorse had a soldered on battery that i tired to replace in the past. i ended up breaking the tabs so i soldered wires in the spot and put it to the new battery. i guess when messing with the Quarterhorse yesterday, one of the wires broke free so my tune keeps blanking. i went to repair it tonight but now i broke off both wires and unsure which side was positive and negative. can soemone tell me which of these is positive and negative? ignore the RTV everywhere

grrrr.... its still not working. i must have overheated the 2 points i soldered because they dont have continuity to any other points. i tried tried again in another spot and with my meter shows good this time. i love soldering but not stuff this small. if it doesnt work this time ill probably jsut buy a new quarterhorse. in Binary Editor it shows v1.6 but on the board shows v1.3. not sure if it was updated before but it may be a reason i had issues with datalongging
