BE & DATAQ-1100 - Failure to Communicate

Post by PhillipP » Thu Aug 24, 2017 7:05 pm

Hello,

Need some help setting up BE to datalog with OBDII and a Dataq DI-1100. Using dongle hardware license.

Symptoms: dataq menu is lit, indicating license is good; commanding data log start causes a brief cycle in the status bar, from idle to poll starting, to idle again. Duration is less than 10 seconds. No .csv's are written. If dataq hardware is disabled BE will data log as normal.

Corrective actions attempted thus far:
- verified signal from dataq via dataq software
- uninstalled all dataq software and drivers
- re-installed dataq software and drivers
- reconfigured transfer function
- contacted Clint Garrity

Suggestions?

I noted the status bar at the bottom of BE isn't indicating the Dataq is connected. The status history does show OBDII status changes as I enable/disable it under the hardware menu. Could that be a clue or normal when using Dataqs?

Clint didn't offer any insight?

Clint has been largely unavailable for the last few weeks. His initial recommendations are part of my attempted corrective actions.

make sure nothing else is checked to log along side the dataq as well, such as the innovate wideband and moates are unchecked to not log

clint has been really busy lately

Following up, slightly overdue. Clint and I did get in touch. He provided a beta version that does work with the new dataq. I believe a new release is on the way that incorporates the changes.

I must say the dataq is way nicer than the sct kit I had been using.

I'm working via the J2354 interface, not the J3. Flash cable from drew tech via core tuning. The QH+SL has appeal, but I'm already invested, and its now working smoothly.
