What EEC do I need for MAF conversion on my truck?

Post by 94mudpig » Wed Aug 21, 2019 9:01 am

Hey all, I need to do a MAF conversion from SD on my 94 f150 351w 4x4 w/ 3.55 rear gear. As far as getting the wiring for the the sensor and intake hardware and rewiring the injectors to Sequential Fire Injection(SFI) from Bank fire, etc I've got all that covered. The only thing that I'm not exactly sure of is which EEC IV I'll need to do it. I've done a lot of research but need some clarification. Firstly, did only California trucks come with MAF? Can anyone confirm if any of the part numbers I have for potential EEC's will work: F5TF-12A650-BYA, F5TF-12A650-HB, F5TF,12A650-GB, F5TF-12A650-JB, F5TZ-12A650-ZB, F5TZ-12A6650-YB, F5TZ-12A650-AAB. What is the difference between F5TF & F5TZ? I've seen them used in conjunction everywhere. I'd think a MAF EEC would BE more capable than a 5.0 MAF EEC?
Thanks all

My guess is a CBAZ0, like HUG2 would be what you want since you don't want to go CBAZA, which is 94-95 Mustang 5.0L.

I believe the CBAZ0 is a truck EEC from the 94-95 era and I believe it is a MAF-based EEC.

I don't know anything about the Ford engineering numbers you posted or where to look up what models correlate to what strategy/tune code. I'm sure there's a list somewhere. I just don't have one of those lists.

I appreciate the input cgrey8. ill do some research on the codes you provided and see where it takes me. Ford numbers I provided for the specific EEC's are just Ford part numbers. Still anyone else who could help me figure it out. thanks
