Trouble clearing error codes

Post by gamh44 » Mon Oct 07, 2024 6:35 am

Trying to tie up a few loose ends and am having difficulty clearing a couple of error codes (15 and 95) on my '89 5.0 transplant with EEC IV ECU.

The method I've tried is to pull the jumper from the self test plug while the MIL is flashing, after turning the key on for the self test.

My understanding of the codes is:

15: Interrupted power to ECU. This is a regular occurrence as the ECU is pulled and replaced for a variety of reasons but doesn't clear with the method above (and not disconnecting the ECU). I just checked tonight that pin 1 on the ECU (Keep Alive Power) has power with the key off and that is all good.

95: Fuel pump secondary circuit fault. I've read somewhere that this can be to do with the Fuel Pump Monitor (FPM) not being connected but in checking, I have connected the FP relay to pin 19.

Anyone out there with any ideas?
