install problems, & Newbie questions
I recently purchased TwEECer RT.
Upon installing the "install me first" when it is almost done I get an error stating"error creating/opening registry key"
When opening Caledit I get "Invalid or unsupported Binary image"
I uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times and get the same thing.
Also I did get it connected to my Truck, and was able to read the stock program and write it to the TwEECer. However I have seen others that got the same problem I did. My fuel pump keeps running with the ignition on. What is the fix for this? I was unable to get a Real Time image.
I have a 94 Lightning with a A9P computer and Pro-m Mass air. 50# injectors. 383 stroker and Vortech S-trim. too much to list.
I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop running Windows 98 se.
Also, another question. Is there any tuners in the North East that will use the TwEECER to dyno tune my truck? It seems that they all want to use their own software to do it and burn a chip.
Or is this the way to go and then have the chip dumped to the tweecer as a starting point. Though this doesn't make sense to me.
Thanks for your help.

Hey guys,
Please!!! Do NOT install the software in a cycling manner, it is not needed. The BDE (Borland) was written 5-6 years before Win2K was released and pukes up messages, please ignore them. The two main error messages are:
Not enough disk space or some registry entry error, there are probably others. Ignore these and continue with the installation. Once installed, please do NOT remove the software.
The "Invalid or unsupported Binary image" is given because the A9L bin in the install is not in the right place. Just load a binary from our website and get tweaking!!!

Keep looking around for other shops with dyno's. Some do not sell chips.
Stay away from SAL @ PSP and JDM. They will not help you, they only want to sell you their chips. I know a guy in Clearwater FL that can help you if you want to take a drive.. (Race Related)
I also have a 1994 Lighting with the Pro-M. My EEC is a A3M1. I a looking at getting a Vortech T trim for my baby this summer. It would be interesting to compare tuner files eventually.

Well,
I have gotten the Caledit to read the eec and write to Tweecer, but I get no Real Time data.
Am I doing somthing wrong, or when the truck is running and the Calcon program is open shouldn't the display be showing what the engine is doing?
Well, it shows zilcho, nada, nothing. I tried to start recording, then stop, and playback and it says that no data was recorded.
Help.
Thanks,
Jody

Have you built the payload and included it with your binary when writing to the tweecer???

hey mike--quick question. Trying to setup my new laptop----got the programs installed but when I hook up the usb---I get no new hardware wizard. I tried searching for hardware but none found. Is this because I have the chip installed on the ecm allready?
1993 GT--5sp, 3.55s, hedman headers and offroad h-pipe with flows, king cobra clutch, steeda tri-ax, SC-TRIM, 73mm MAF, kirban Fuel Reg., 7" blower pulley, bunch of suspension mods, cobra Rs,
You will have to turn the key on if it is on the processor or take it off the eec (with key off!!!).

Brent at Dyno Tuned Performance will tune your car with a your tweecer. He's somewhere in Virginia I think.
He sent me a program, I just told him what my setup was. His email is:
dtp@dtpracing.hrcoxmail.com
Hope that helps.

tune
It works good. Best part is he told me what tables he changed. I've compared it to the stock program and gone in and tweeced his program with good results. It helps to know where to start.
It's definately better to have someone with the dyno do it. But Brent set it up pretty safe (conservitive). I'll probably add a little more timing soon.
Good Luck!
